Chapter 6:
-Third Person-
Back at the dorm, Evie had arrived back from her magical date with Doug to an empty room. There was no sign of Mal anywhere. That was until she looked on the bed.

Four notes were laid side by side in a row with the one on the end having a necklace on top. There were all titled with the friends' names.

She slowly reached for the one that had her name on it before grabbing it with shaky hands.

Dear Evie,
You know very well that you are my best friend. You will always be my best friend.

I hope that Doug makes you feel like the happiest girl in the world. Get married, have some kids, yell at Carlos and Jay for teaching them reckless antics.

If you are wondering where I am, I'm on the Isle of the Lost with Mom. And Dracul.

'Dracul? No, that's impossible.' she thought.

Yes, he's back.

Please don't come look for me. I don't want you getting hurt.

-Mal, Daughter of the Evil Fairy, Maleficent

Evie screamed, "My best friend was gone!"

She grabbed all the notes and ran to Carlos and Jay's room.

She didn't bother to knock as she busted through the door with tears flooding down her cheeks.

"What, you couldn't bother to knock?" Jay said sarcastically.

His smirk fell as he saw the look on Evie's face.

"What's wrong?" Carlos asked bringing Dude closer to his chest.

Evie silently handed them the note addressed to them and collapsed in the chair in a crying fit.

Jay and Carlos read the notes and tears started spilling from their eyes.

Their heads turned to the door when they heard a knock.

Evie got up slowly and opened it revealing a heartbroken Ben.

"You know?" he asked simply.

Evie nodded and let him in.

She looked over at the lone note on the table with a necklace on top. She knew that it was for the last person that Mal cared about.

She walked over to the table and picked up the note. She slowly extended it to Ben.

He looked at it with sadness in his eyes and grabbed it out of her hand.

His eyes went rapidly over the page.

When he was done, he dropped the note on the ground and collapsed on the floor.

"BEN!" Evie exclaimed and ran over to the said King.

Ben curled up into a ball and started sobbing.

"She's gone. She's really gone." he repeated over and over again.

Evie knew that she wouldn't be able to comfort him, but the least she could do was be with him. They were all hurting.

She motioned for Carlos and Jay to come over which they obliged.

They all sat in silence that was occasionally broken by Ben's soft sobs.

Oh, Mal, what have you done?

QOTC: Who do you think Dracul is? (Other than Mal's brother)
