Aincrad – Throne Room
"Okay... that should... do it!" Lamy says as she puts on the final touches.
She takes a few steps back, looking at her work with pride while Kisuke hums in interest along with Sigma, 21 and Church looks appalled.
The perspective switches to Asmodeus' throne, now having a multitude of cables attached to all sides. A control terminal has been crudely attached to the left arm bar and a joystick on the right.
"What do you think? Isn't she beautiful?" Lamy asks.
"Well... it's something, senpai." An uncertain 21 remarks.
"It looks like shit." Church bluntly comments, earning Lamy's ire.
"It is very... crude." Sigma says, trying to sound less blunt than his progenitor.
"You've jury rigged the throne to act as a pseudo control system." Kisuke says. "But I'm more curious as to how you did it since... the link doesn't exist."
"Well, the control room wasn't completely destroyed. The primary control circuits were still intact." Lamy's smile turns smug. "It was just a matter of linking the circuits to a compatible system. This throne controls the castle's internal defense systems, so it's the perfect substitute."
"Are you sure this will work? It doesn't seem safe." 21 said.
"Just don't step on any of the cables when they're live, otherwise you'll be in for a nasty shock." Lamy walks towards the throne and sits down. "Now, all I need is to activate the scanner to show us Asmodeus-sama's location and we'll be off!"
"$200 says this is gonna blow up on her face." Church says.
21 leans closer to Kisuke. "Did you manage to fix the computer systems, Kisuke-san?"
"Somewhat." Kisuke admits.
"He accidentally fried some internal components while conversing with Ms. Shihōin. Then hastily rigged a bypass circuit just to operate basic functions." Sigma adds which causes 21 to sharply turn to the shipowner.
"Did you tell senpai that!?" 21 shrieked and Kisuke let out a nervous chuckle.
"... oops?" Kisuke says before a sound catches their attention.
"Yes! I got a fix on his location!" Lamy cheers. "Now to-"
*GONG* *GONG*
The Cloister Bell sounds off as the entire throne room turns red.
"Told you." Church said.
"What's going on!?" Lamy says before a message appears on the scanner.
ALERT! ALERT!
NAVIGATION FAILED!
CRITICAL ENGINE MALFUNCTION!
"WHAT!?" Lamy screams before the entire room starts to shake.
