Ch 14: Brotherly Bonding

Once morning came, the slumbering group woke up as Reina called them. While everyone was groggy, they greeted her before stretching. "Good morning boys, did you all sleep well?" The boys answered positively, Kaito adding he did have little snuggle bug with him. Still asleep, Ayame unconsciously clung to him more. "You spoil her a lot, son."

"I'll always spoil my baby sis." He replied, placing an arm around her as he got up. Reina rolled her eyes playfully before saying breakfast was ready, the boys nearly rushed to the table until James coughed, telling them not to run inside. They quickly corrected themselves, though they still moved fast to reach the food. As they ate, Kaito heard his phone go off, a black tendril shot out to retrieve it.

"Just Peter, saying they will be round at 11. His apprentices are still sleeping." He sent a quick reply before setting his phone down with a smirk. "Your mean to big bro." Ayame commented, rubbing her eyes as she yawned, Kaito shrugged and said it's just how he and Peter are as brothers. After the boy's finished their breakfast, Ayame having just started hers, they wondered what they could do to pass the time.

Kaito jokingly suggested Smash Bros again, but was instantly shot down, causing Venom to snicker. "How about we sp-" Bakugo started, but stopped himself as he looked at Kaito, said boy smirked at him. "No fancy techniques for me, that sound fair?" He asked, the ash blonde nodded as they got up, Kaito told his parents they were going to spar in the back garden, Reina promptly shouted. "As long as you don't use your quirks, you can go nuts."

"Don't go too hard, son. Still have to take it easy, doctor's orders." Kaito waved off his concern, saying he wouldn't push himself. As the boys followed him outside, Bakugo went first, getting into a fighting stance while Kaito stayed relaxed. The latter didn't even move, just watched his opponent closely. 'Thanks to you Void, I've shaken off the rust. So I can have some fun with these guys.'

Bakugo launched himself forward, throwing a quick jab at Kaito, who caught his wrist easily. "Too slow bro, come on, I know you can do better than this." Kaito said, releasing his grip and dodging another jab, spinning on his foot as he did. Bakugo growled, throwing a strong hook at his face, which Kaito caught, pulling the ash blonde towards him and kneeing his stomach, but Bakugo blocked it with his hand, impressing Kaito.

"I know your style, remember?" Bakugo said, smirking at him. The two exchanged a few punches, the ash blonde throwing more hooks and jabs, Kaito deflected them each time until Shoto stepped in, taking Kaito on while Izuku faced Bakugo. "Got bored, didn't you?" He asked, the dual-colored boy simply smirked at him, the two began to clash.

As the hours passed, Peter arrived with MJ and his apprentices, Miles and Gwen. "I know I've said it before, but I think you'll get along with Kaito, even if he can be a pain." Peter said a bit nervously; MJ sighed before pulling his cheek. "Peter, it's ok. You can stop worrying."

"She's right, you know. He's your brother, if he is anything like you, I'm sure we will get along just fine." Miles said, smiling as he gave his mentor a thumbs up. Gwen nodded in agreement, but Peter laughed a bit nervously. "We share some traits, but not all. Just trust me when I say, he's a handful." As they entered the house, Reina welcomed them from the kitchen while the group sat in the living room.

"Peter, glad you could make it. Are they your apprentices?" She asked, he nodded and introduced them, Reina smiled as she did the same. Peter looked around a bit before giving Reina a confused look, she smiled and pointed up, as he followed, a pillow hit him square in the face, catching him off guard. 'Sneaky bastard.' He thought, looking up to see Kaito sat on the ceiling while working on his web shooters, Ayame using a tendril like a swing.
