Ch 15: Revelation

Narrator Pov

'It's a bar?!' Kaito screamed mentally, alongside his symbiotes who were just as shocked as he was. Once they were able to collect themselves, they took notice of the sheer amount of people inside, all sitting or standing around the place. He could right away it wasn't a normal bar, not in the slightest, but he still stepped in, the door closing behind him.

Walking up to the bar counter, he glanced around at the various people, some looked familiar, but for strange reason, their faces were blurred if he focused on them. 'What the hell is going on. This place feels weird.' "What do you fancy kid?" Ths bartender asked, appearing out of nowhere, startling Kaito. "Um, what do you have?"

"You name it, we got it." He answered, cleaning a glass as he did. Looking at the various bottles, Kaito decided to just get a water. The man nodded, setting the glass down as he turned away, and when Kaito grabbed the glass, it transformed into a bottle. "What the..."

"By the way, you don't need bother with the mask. Besides me and the other bartender, no one will see your face, Kaito." He stated, making the young man go wide eyed under his mask. 'Who the fuck is this guy?! And how does he know my name?!' The symbiotes were just as confused and cautious as him, but seeing no point to keeping it, Kaito's mask receded, but he kept his hood up as a precaution

"Thanks for the drink. You said there was another bartender?" He asked, slightly glaring at the man, who merely smirked as he made eye contact. "Yes, he is currently preparing a booth for the ones you came to see. Before you meet them though, you will be shown the rules of our establishment."

As the bartender said that, Kaito held his hand out, asking for the rulebook or pamphlet he had to read. Instead, he felt the rules being fed directly into his head, making him a bit dizzy. 'That's one way to give me the rules.' He thought, taking a sip of his water as he noted how simple they were and at first glance, seemed quite easy to break, but he had a feeling it was harder to actually do so.

"You are correct, any attempt at breaking a rule is met with immediate punishment. You can try it on me, I promise the punishment will be light since it's your first time here." The bartender challenged, raising his hand out. Kaito raised a brow at him before trying to punch his hand, but his body froze up, feeling as if gravity itself was pushing down on him.

'What the fuck, what's happening?!' He screamed mentally, his symbiotes could only feel the crushing weight, but not as badly as their host. After a few seconds, it was lifted, relieving Kaito from the pressure. "As he said, it was light compared to what usually happens. Now ifyou would come with me please." A new voice said, Kaito turned to see the other bartender beside him, smiling as he motioned him to follow.

Nodding, Kaito followed, glancing at the people around the bar as he passed them. The barkeep led him up a flight of stairs, taking him to a row of booths that overlooked the bar. "Just down that way, your company is waiting for you." He informed him, but before he could disappear, Kaito stopped him with a question.

"Thank you, and if it's fine with you and your partner, may I know your names?" He asked, the man just smiled, tipping his hat lightly. "Clients have asked for our names before, so they can get their drinks and suck refilled, but we appear when they need us, so we never gave them. But you are a unique case, so you may refer to my partner and myself as T and P respectively."

Kaito nodded, thanking the man as he disappeared, leaving him alone. Walking down the row, he wondered which booth he was looking for, but he froze as pain shot through his body again. Tendrils tore out of his back, attempting to coil around him, but Venom and the others prevented that, holding them down as Void took over, forcing the tendrils back into his body.
