Ch 16: Squad Hangout

Kaito was sat on the hood of his car waiting patiently for Mina and Toru, Ayame rested on a tendril, swinging her legs as she colored some of the sketches Kaito did. "How's it going sis?" Kaito asked, glancing at her as she showed the book, the sketch being of Mina in her hero costume. "It's pretty." He complimented, giving a thumbs up as she went back to coloring, humming a song happily.

It wasn't long before both girls finally arrived, apologizing for making them wait. Before he could say anything, Ayame answered for him. "It's fine, onii-chan doesn't mind waiting for his girlfriends." The comment made both girls blush lightly, but it also caused Kaito to roll his eyes, softly dropping her into the car.

"Shut it you rascal." He jokingly scolded, getting into the driver's seat as both girls climbed in after, buckling up. As they drove off, Ayame picked out a song for them to listen to, the volume low enough so they could still talk. "It was a nice week off, but glad we can start school again." Kaito said, keeping his eyes on the road.

"Same, it felt weird not doing anything. And not seeing you everyday was a bit hard." Mina replied with Toru agreeing. Ayame gave a smug smirk to her brother, about to say something before Venom ruffled her hair, silencing her. Kaito said he missed them and the class as well, adding that he was curious about the dorms.

Ayame was playing a game on Kaito's phone to pass the time, humming a tune before a message popped up. Venom emerged to check it for him, mentally reading it to Kaito. As they reached Ayame's school, she passed the phone back before hugging her brother goodbye, giving a quick wave to the two girls before running inside, Kaito smiled before driving off again.

Finally reaching UA, he parked in his normal spot, opening the door for both girls after he got out. "Such a gentleman." Mina teased, kissing his cheek with Toru before they headed for the entrance, seeing Izuku, Bakugo and Shoto waiting outside. Kaito greeted them before they all headed for class, already hearing some noise as they reached the door.

As the door opened, some of the class turned, greeting their classmates before seeing Kaito, smiling at him. They gathered around him as the group entered, all asking if he was ok, which he replied he was doing a lot better. As he talked with his classmates, he sensed Aizawa getting closer and told them to take their seats.

The students quickly moved, getting seated just as Aizawa opened the door. Seeing Kaito, he gave a light nod before telling him to sit, which he did. "Hope you enjoyed your week off, because you have a lot of schoolwork to catch up on. But first, I have a few announcements to make." Aizawa said, gazing over his class with his usual stare, some of them grew nervous.

"I'm certain you've already heard about the dorms, but just to clarify, they are optional. If you choose to live in the dorms, you are still allowed to visit home, just make sure to inform the staff." The students relaxed slightly, most of them were already considering the idea. "On to the next matter, your fight isn't over yet." The class fell silent as everyone held their breath, tension building in the room before the door opened, Midnight walking in.

"The UA sports festival is coming up." She stated with her usual grin, all the tension quickly changed to excitement. As most of the class cheered, Kaito was lost in thought for a moment, discussing something with his symbiotes.

"But would it not be best to cancel it after the USJ attack? I mean we saw how well organized those villains were, and Kaito technically died for a moment." Iida asked, the class grew tense again, remembering the attack. Aizawa explained it was to show the public they aren't scared, as well as a show of strength.

"We're also beefing up security compared to other years, so you should just focus on the festival." Midnight added, the class seemed reassured, but there was still a slight hesitation. Kaito glanced at his classmates for a moment, sighing to himself as he walked to the front of the class, getting the attention of his peers.
