Ch 10: Tables turned

Narrator Pov

As he stared down the newly formed symbiote, Kaito's focus was broken as a barrage of spikes was sent his way, courtesy of Overhaul. He managed to dodge most of them, a few barely grazing him as he turned his attention to the villain, which would be a mistake. "Kaito, look out!" Aizawa shouted, seeing the symbiote lunge at him. Tendrils shot out his back, swiftly blocking the attacking symbiote, but he was still pushed back, landing close to Aizawa and the barely conscious Thirteen.

"About time you came out parasite, could have used your help with this pest." Overhaul said, directing his focus to the grey symbiote. It snarled slightly, forming a blade over the Nomu's hand before pointing it to Overhaul, anger clear in its white eyes. "I am Riot! Not a parasite!" Overhaul rolled in eyes, muttering how he saw no difference, which only angered Riot more.

Seeing they were distracted, Kaito knelt down to Aizawa, taking hold of his limp arm. "I'll heal what I can, I don't have much in the tank. This is gonna hurt." Aizawa gave a small grunt, knowing pain was inevitable, he clenched his teeth as Kaito set the bones straight, covering his arm with his tendrils to heal him, sending another to Thirteen to hopefully help her. Aizawa flexed his fingers, feeling the pain lessen and the arm was usable once more.

Looking toward the two villains, Aizawa commented how similar Riot was to Venom. "Same thought, but it feels different. I don't know what it is, but that symbiote is different to mine." Kaito stated, helping his teacher up while using his tendrils to move Thirteen to a safe distance. "I guess you know what we need to do?" Kaito nodded, cracking his neck. "I'll take the big one, that germaphobe is all yours."

Without missing a beat, Aizawa rushed over to Overhaul, Riot attempted to intercept, viewing the erasure hero as a light snack. He was denied it however, as Kaito got in his way. "I don't think so, you're facing me." He quickly uppercuts Riot before following it up with a swift kick, pushing him back slightly. 'Same as before, must be some kind of impact resist quirk' Agreeing with Kaito's train of thought, the symbiotes suggested to use weapons instead.

As Riot recovered, he prepared to strike Kaito with his blade, only for Kaito to block it with his own. "You're not the only one who can do that, parasite." "I'm not a parasite!" Riot roared, attempting to slash him several times, only to be met with Kaito blocking the attack and countering. As he expected, the impact absorption wasn't as effective against sharp impacts, though the damage was removed via Riot's regeneration, which Anti-Venom pointed out was faster than his own.

Aizawa had engaged Overhaul, canceling his quirk when he could. While most of the damage was healed, he still felt pain as he moved, but what hindered him was the damage done to his eyes. 'Just have to make do, he healed what he could, its more than enough.' Overhaul was quick to realize what was going on, using his quirk to send a barrage of spikes, only for the erasure hero to dodge.

Using that brief window, Overhaul used his quirk on himself, augmenting his arms to have more strength than he naturally did, something which Aizawa couldn't erase. Kaito fared well against Riot, the symbiotes movements felt sluggish to the boy, which he took advantage to land as many hits as he could. "You're going to lose this battle of endurance Kaito!" 'You don't think I know that?!' He mentally shouted at Carnage, while he was confident in his abilities, he also knew when he was pushing himself, and he was doing just that.

As he was distracted by his internal thoughts, Riot was able to land a blow on his stomach, forcing Kaito back, Toxin had thankfully got in the way, tanking most of the damage while Anti-Venom got to healing. 'Get your shit together!' Toxin growled, getting his attention, they didn't have time for him to lose focus. Composing himself, an idea came to mind, the symbiotes noticed his thought process and followed without hesitation. "Come on parasite, put up more of a fight."
