Maybe he was going too far with it.

He wanted to act like he didn't enjoy the noticeable shift in a lot of the boys' demeanor, but the way he grinned ear to ear, watching them discuss amongst themselves how uncomfortably warm it had gotten in the house as of late. He pulled his phone up farther to cover his face, listening intently.

"Yoongi Hyung, you can normally keep up better than this." Hoseok snapped his attention towards the cat-eyed boy, mint hair messily strewn about his sweaty forehead.

The elder scoffed a little, rolling his eyes, having been called out for his fifth mistake when it came to the complicated footwork of their new eye-catching song, DNA. "I am trying, I'm just tired."

"More than usual?" Jimin pipped up, picking at his fingers as he spoke.

"Yes, obviously more than usual." He huffed, directing his attention back towards the main dancer.

"You need to keep up with your sleep better, Yoongi," Hoseok corrected, moving towards the edge of the room. He kneeled down to open his bag, pulling out a water bottle. "Everyone else seems to be doing just fine.

"Well.. sort of.." Jimin grumbled, running a hand through his fluffed blonde hair.

"I have three fans going at night, and still it's too warm, and you know I can't sleep without a blanket, Hoseok."  The rapper complained, Jungkook stiffening slightly at the mention of the in-house temperature.

Taehyung raised an eyebrow, interjecting, "Yoongi has a point; it has been a bit warm lately." Hoseoks' attention shot towards the maknae, keeping his usual bland expression plastered on his face in the presence of their manager.

"I've noticed that two," Jimin piped up, walking over to Yoongi. "Do you think it's something wrong with the AC?" He tapped his cheek in thought as Jungkook watched them interact with each other in comfortable silence.

Namjoon paused his discussion with Jin, looking over the other members, "I can contact Bang Si-hyuk and see if he has any ideas." Jungkook wondered for a moment, watching the leader speak, questioning if they were even aware of the app's existence. He knew from what Yugyeom said that Jaebum had to request access to the app, but he wasn't sure if Namjoon was even aware of it to ask in the first place; he sure hoped not

He wasn't particularly fond of the idea of Bang Si-hyuk snitching him out either; his careful plan not taking into consideration what he would do if Namjoon had been given access to the app, he'd likely just be able to go in and fix everything, leaving Jungkook stuck like before.

"You should," Yoongi grumbled, blinking slowly. "You know how important sleep is to me." The leader and main rapper exchanged glances with each other.

"I know, I'm sorry, I wish I had known sooner, I'll take care of it, love, dont worry," the leader cooed. Earning an eye roll from Yoongi as they moved back into place.

Jungkook rested his head on the wall as he watched them work hour after hour, perfecting every single move. No matter how much they panted or how the members would collapse after each routine ended, they kept going over and over.

In these little moments, where he watched them practice, he thought about himself for a moment. A sense of longing, he eased into the back of his heart, to learn his own choreography, to sing his own songs, to do what he dreamed of.

Even watching them, exhausted as they may be, he couldn't help but desire the impossible more. They glide across the floor effortlessly, steps synchronized as they hit the ground after each jump, perfectly in unison. They had great chemistry together. He imagined the idea of them being even better if it weren't for the sleep deprivation both he and the members now mutually shared.
