Today was another session that Mrs. Natalia was taking. It's been almost a two months since school started, and it was going pretty well.

Mrs. Natalia made the guys stand in line in the class and asked all the girls to blindfold themselves. She took each girl and made them stand in front of their partner discreetly.

"Okay, so now I know you might be confused. But none of you will utter a single word. Be quiet. Now, as you can see, all the girls are blindfolded and standing in front of the boys. Remember, girls, the guy behind you could be anyone from your class. So now, on the count of three, you girls will drop back and hope that you guys will catch you. So one, two, and three."

Mrs. Natalia eyed them. She had a satisfied smirk on her face. Everyone did it perfectly.

Evy was apprehensive as to who would be there behind her. She followed Mrs. Natalia's words and let her fall backward. And luckily, the guy behind her caught her.

After the little activity, Mrs. Natalia asks them to remove their blindfold.

"Okay, so now you girls can turn their back to see your partner whom you trusted blindly."

It shocked Evy to see it was Ed who prevented her from falling. Well, of course, he wouldn't let her as Mrs. Natalia was there, but still.

"Now, I want you all to try again, but without a blindfold," Mrs. Natalia informed.

Evelyn glanced at Hailey and noticed that her best friend took the leap of faith after a few minutes, and so did a few others of her classmates.

She was hesitant to do it again, especially now when she knows it is Eddy who would have to catch her. Mrs. Natalia noticed her discomfort.

"Did you notice something close? People can trust anyone if they have a cloth on their eyes, but not when they have nothing on them. You all did perfectly when the girls were blindfolded, but what happened when they were made to remove the cloth from their eyes. Not only girls but even you boys were hesitant to catch them. Only a few were able to do it, but not immediately. This says a lot about human psychology. Now I want you all to try again. Sometimes it is necessary to take a leap of faith."

Yet Evy wasn't able to do it. "Evy and Edd come ahead. Everyone did it except you two. Come on, Evy. It is not difficult. Trust him and yourself." Mrs. Natalia told her.

She wasn't scared of taking leaps of faith, but she was scared because of him. What if he did catch her? Somewhere deep inside her heart, Evy knew she trusted Eddy and had a slight hope that with time, things would come around, but if he did drop her, then that faith would vanish forever.

Evy looked around, and her classmates were watching her curiously. Hailey, Owen, Carson, and Kayla gave her an encouraging nod, whereas Mad Maddy was glaring at her.

She heard Eddy whisper, "I will catch you, and this time I won't let you fall."

She took a deep breath and allowed gravity to play its role. Before her head could come into contact with the floor, Eddy caught her. She was glad, but at the same point; she wanted him to drop her. It's sad. But she wanted another reason to stay angry with him.

Eddy was ecstatic. He never thought something good would come out of this activity. Evy, his best friend, trusted him. She might not want to accept it, but it's the truth.

Not only that, but healso knew that the Lilly that he kept in Evy's locker was still there. Evymight have thought he wasn't there during that time, but luckily, he madehimself invisible when he heard Evelyn and Owen talking. Although she kept itbecause of Owen, she could have thrown it again, but she didn't, so it'sprogress. And after today's activity, he was dead sure that he would get bothof his best friends back.
