Chapter 35

Hey guys! Just a quick note: The picture above is what Kay (aka me) looks like in the story.

Kay's POV:

I look at Miku on the screen in front of me, who is on the verge of tears. I look at Luka, who was next to me, and ask for her headset. She frowns at me, so I repeat it. "Give me your headset." She sighs and takes it off, putting it on my head. I adjust the size and wait for Miku to run off stage. "You knew she would do this?" Len asks as Luka follows Miku. I shrug and walk onto the stage.

I start singing when the band stops, so they start again for me. Listening to this song on repeat for a week really paid off. I peek into the backstage area and quickly run over, pulling Miku onto the stage. She freezes in place, and I encourage her to sing. After a while, I decide to give up and continue singing.

Suddenly, I hear her voice. I smile and sing along with her. Clapping to the beat and dancing a little as the glowsticks move when I clap. When we finish, we clasp hands and bow as everyone cheers. I smile and blush as I wave to Miku and run offstage. I jump into Val's arms and hug her when I get there. I smile and pull back handing Luka her headset and walking over to the screen again.

Rin appears next to Miku, and they start doing Colorful x Melody. Val bobs her head to the beat and hums the words to herself. I get up from the beanbag and walk across the hall to the snack room. I load my tray with fries, a water bottle, and a sandwich. I wave to Mayu, who was getting her own food, and walk to the lounge.

I sit down next to Val again, and she looks at me as I pop a fry into my mouth. After a while, she says, "Can I have one?" I roll my eyes. "Open." I say, and she opens her mouth. I toss a fry in and continue eating. 

Rin's POV:

I run off stage and into the lounge, waving at Kay and Val as I see them. "Have you guys seen Nero? He's been ignoring me for a while and I need to talk to him." I say, and Val tells me he went to my changing room.

My changing room?

I shrug and run down a few hallways, reaching my changing room. I try the door and of course, it's locked. I poof into my original outfit and take one of my bobby pins out of my hair. I wiggle it around in the lock and hear it unlock from the other side. 

I put my bangs back up and walk inside, and Nero is sitting in my spinny chair, staring at the mirror. He jumps when I walk in, but continues looking in the mirror. I close the door behind me and sit on the counter in front of him. "Hey..." I say, but he doesn't answer.

"Nero, you've been ignoring me lately and I want to know why. And I want to know now." I say, catching his attention. He sighs and stares at his hands, clasped in his lap. "Because," Nero starts "ever since you kissed me, I've felt different. I know I like you and all, but I feel like we should get to know eachother, you know?" I nod.

"What's your favorite color?" I ask. "Ok now you've crossed the line." He jokes, and we share a laugh. "And it's orange." I smile. "Same here!" I exclaim, and we're laughing again. 

"Why do you like me, anyways?" I finally ask. "Oh please, don't tell me you aren't pretty because you are. Trust me." "Oh I know." I joke. "I don't know... I like you because you have happy songs like Melancholic and Always be Happy, but you aren't like that at all. You're funny, and throw a mean punch." I blush and look at my lap.

"Yeah... But it was your fault! Never try to steal my oranges!" I protest. We laugh again. "You know what I just noticed?" Nero says, and I raise my eyebrows at him. "That my happiest moments are with you. I don't think I've ever laughed this much in a while." 

All of a sudden, Neru bursts through the door. She sighs. "There you are! I've been looking all over! Come on, Rin. You're next. Hey, why is my brother in h-" I close the door behind us before she can say anything else. I don't answer her question, instead I run down the hallway and prepare to do Party x Party.

Kay added a bunch of dances and choreographed most of them. She's basically in charge of all the songs now. We were doing the dance moves she made up for Party x Party. I really like them. I think the audience will too. 

I poof into the outfit I wear in the video, and see everyone else except Luka (Who was dancing to Kay's dancemoves for BlackJack) was waiting at the entrance to the stage. I wipe off my palms on my skirt and stand next to my brother. "You okay?" he asks, glancing at me. I shrug. "I'm nervous. And excited. I guess you could say I'm Nervouscited." he laughs. "Yeah, me too." he replies.

Me and my brother were really close when we were little. But we drifted farther apart as we met people and hung out with them more. I decided I would spend more time with him in the future. I sigh and run onstage with everyone, getting in my position.
