Crystal awoke to an empty bed, which she wasn't used to; she missed the warmth of Miguel next to her and the feeling of having someone next to her.

Feeling down, she reached over to grab her phone. She saw a good morning message from Miguel already, and she smiled, the warmth spreading through her again.

She quickly texted back before getting up and making her way to the bathroom. The same feeling of nausea wiped over her as it had for the past few weeks. She turned and locked the door before turning to the cupboard under the sink.

Crystal bent down on her knees, fumbling through the drawer until she found what she was looking for. As she unpacked the plastic stick, the pit in her stomach grew.

She breathed in, taking out the instructions and reading them over. She copied the instructions until she was done, and she placed the stick on the cool sink.

Panic swam through her when the timer went off. She grabbed another after seeing the result, and seeing that result, she took another.

She reached up and grabbed the stick. She already knew what it would say, but having it right in front of her made her feel dread all over again.

She sank onto the floor, her mind swimming with thoughts. What would Miguel say? Stood out to her the most.

She wiped her face, wrapped the stick up in toilet paper, and threw it in the bin. She then stood up and washed her hands.

She looked at herself in the mirror before tying her hair back. She wiped her eyes once more before walking out of the bathroom. She grabbed her clothes and pulled her gi into the bathroom, getting changed, trying to forget.

She knew she'd have to fake and lie in front of Miguel and Robby, and maybe Sam, because they knew her better than anyone, but she also couldn't keep it a secret, so she did the only thing that she could think of, and called Delilah.

- This was probably the worst idea she could've come up with, but she didn't care. Delilah couldn't ground her, and if she got mad, Crystal could just hang up.

Crystal found Delilah's number and hesitated before ringing, "Cris?... wha- are you okay?" Delilah asked, her voice groggy, which means she probably just woke up.

"I'm sorry for waking you.. like, really sorry, but I'm pregnant."

The silence on the other side of the call was deafening.

"Wow." Delilah breathes, and Crystal feels herself tear up.

"That's uh, that's a lot.. are you sure?"

"I took 3 tests, and they were all positive, so, definitely pregnant.

"I thought you and Miguel... you know... always used protection?"

Crystal swallowed hard. "Yeah, we do... but there was, like... one time..."

Another pause. Crystal fidgeted with her hand, feeling like she was gonna explode. "Lilah... I don't know what to do. I... I'm scared."

"Okay," Lilah said softly, but Crystal could hear the worry in her voice. "First... breathe, Cris. You're not alone. Okay? We'll figure this out together."

Crystal let out a shaky breath, trying to calm herself. "I'm scared, Lilah... I don't know how Miguel's gonna react. I just... I don't want my life to blow up."

"You've got me, Cris," Lilah said firmly, but gently at the same time. "We'll figure it out. Step by step. You tell Miguel when you're ready. For now... breathe. We got this."
