Summer break had come to an end, and school starts in less than two weeks. School had always been something I don't like doing, but just had to do it anyways.

Let me introduce myself, my name is Amanda. I am seventeen nearly eighteen of age. I am more like the quite and shy kid around people, but honestly I am not . I like playing around like a three year old kid, and making fun of people, and goofing around. But I am just so shy that doing such stuff around people is so hard for me.

"Amanda, wake up; it's your first day of school!" my mom said trying to wake me up.

"Err, mom, it's still too early," I groaned trying to cover my face up with my blanket.

"Honey, what are you talking about? its 7:30 am; you're going to be late for school. Now WAKE UP!" my mom yelled pushing me off of my bed.

"Okay okay, fine I am awake," I said putting my hands up in surrender.

See, me and my mom always had this mother-daughter relationship. We are more like sisters. Basically, I can tell her everything and she can tell me everything.

I got up, went to the bathroom, brushed my teeth, did my business, and started to get ready for my very first day of school after summer break and my first day in my new school.

Not to lie, I was a little bit worried and scared. Like what if people didn't like me and started to bully me? What if they started calling me names like,

Ugly, Bitch, Fat? What am I supposed to do then? I was suddenly cut off of my own thoughts by my mom shouting asking me if I was ready or not.

"Okay okay, just give me a sec," I shouted back trying to look for something to wear on my first day of school. You know first day of school, gotta make a good impression.

"Huff, i am done and ready," I said running down the stairs.

"Scared, huh? asked my mom while flipping some pancakes.

"Kinda," I said getting a little bit worried just thinking about it.

"Hun, you're going to do just fine, don't worry," my mom said smiling at me.

I smiled faintly at my mom not saying one word.

I finished my breakfast which was by the way amazing.

"Time for school," I said to myself getting up from the breakfast table.
"Do you need a lift hun?" asked my mom looking at me while cleaning up the table.

"Nah, I"ll just walk," I said smiling at her.

"Okay, have fun," my mom said blowing me a kiss.

"Mum, its school how am I supposed to have fun?" I asked in a duh face.

"Just make the best out of it," my mom said shooting me a small smile.

"Kay whatever mom, love you" I said finally stepping out of the house.

On my way to school I was singing and humming an old one direction song, when suddenly I felt myself bumping into someone.

"Uh, oh my god, sorry! I didn't see you there," I said picking up my notebooks and books that are now spread on the floor.

"Hey no, that's fine," he said helping me out.

"Hi," was all I said when I looked up to see a beautiful figure standing right in front of me.

He had beautiful hazel eyes. Dark brown hair that was up in a perfect quiff. Straight white teeth. An eyebrow piercing and a lot of tattoos on his left arm.

"Hey," smiled the beautiful figure that was standing right in front of me.

"I am Jai, Jai Brooks" he said sticking out his hand waiting for me to shake it.

"Amanda, Amanda Brown," I said shaking his hand while smiling like an idiot.

"Sorry about what just happened," I said trying not to look into his beautiful eyes.

"Nah, just forget about it", Jai smiled at me which made me blush out of embarrassment.

It was then that I realised that I was running late for school.

"Uh, I gotta go, see you around Jai" I shouted while running and waving at him not even bothering to look back.

"Okay!" Jai Shouted back.

I started to run as fast as I could. I didn't want to run late for school. It was my first day at my new school, and I wanted to make a good impression.

"Huff, finally," I said stepping into the school trying to catch my breath.

"Where is it, where is it?" I asked myself trying to look for the principle's office.

"There it is," I said taking a deep breath before going inside.

"Um... Hello?" I said slowly knocking while opening the principle's door.

"Hi, Mrs.Brown is it?" asked the principle.

"Yeah, that's me," I said feeling a little bit shy as I already mentioned before that I find it hard talking to people.

"Yes come, c'mon in," he said gesturing for me to sit down in the empty seat in front of him.

I walked slowly trying not to trip over anything. I am so nervous right now, and if anything went wrong I would most probably die.

"So, do you need anything?" he asked looking straight at me.

"Uh, I am a new student, and I wanted to get the schedule for my classes," I said shooting him a small, fake smile trying not to act nervous.

"Yeah, yeah sure, just wait a minute," he said looking through his drawers.

"Here," he said handing me what I suppose is my classes schedule.

"Thank you," I said walking out of his office.

"Okay, so first class I have mathematics. Um, let's see" I said looking through classes trying to find mine.

"Finally," I said taking a deep breath, "Amanda don't mess up, don't mess up, don't mess up". I told myself, then started to open the door slowly.

"Oh, look who had finally decided to join us. Mrs. Brown," said I don't really know her name. But I am pretty sure she is my maths teacher now.
"Uh, sorry," I apologised.

"Take a seat," she said gesturing for me to sit down.

"Good morning, class, I am Mrs. Regina. And I will be teaching you Maths for the rest of the year," she informed us and wrote her name on the plane white board.
