Chapter Fifteen

Amanda's POV

"Wher- where am I?" I asked, still half a sleep.

No answer.

I look beside me to see a sleepy Jai.

"What is Jai doing in my room?" I asked myself.

I start looking around, noticing that this isn't really my room but Jai's.

What happened last night? All I remember last is eating Jai's hand made chicken soup, and falling back to sleep.

I was still pretty sick. I had a small cough. It was not like yesterday's though.

I got out of bed as slow as possible, trying my best not to wake up Jai. I made my way to the bathroom.

Before making my way to the bathroom, I grab some of Jai's clothes.

I seriously need to take a shower, I smell like a dead rat. I am still tired cause of last night's fever, but I still don't want to smell like a dead rat.

I strip down, letting the hot water hit my body, leaving my hair up in a messy bun. I washed my body first with some vanilla kind of body wash, then for my hair, I looked around to find Tressème.

"Um, good choice, Jai Brooks," I said, laughing to myself.

I finished showering, wore my clothes, I mean Jai's, and made my way back to his room, to find Jai only in his boxers laying down on the bed.

Isn't he just so, Jai Brooks like?

"Good morning, beautiful," he said.

"Good morning," I smiled.

"How are you feeling now?"

"Much better" I said, sitting down on the bed beside him.

"Thank God," He sighs relieved.

"Thank you for taking care of me."

"My pleasure," He grinned.

"Oh my god, how can I forget!" I said panicking, looking for my phone through the huge mess that was on the night stand beside me.

"Forget what?" He asked confused.

"I stayed the night and didn't call or even text my mom to inform her! She is so going to kill me," I stated worried.

"Don't worry, I called her and told her all about your fever and about you staying the night."

"And what did she say?"

"She said 'Take good care of her, tell her that I love her and,'" he stopped and just looked at me.

"And..?" I asked holding on to the 'and'

Jai leaned in and kisses me gently on my cheeks.

"What was that for?" I chuckled.

"She said kiss her, for me," He chuckled.

"Oh. That's cute."

"I know, I know."

"Not you, my mom," I laughed.

"Whatever."

Jai got out of bed, went to the bathroom. As he was opening the door to head down stairs. I looked back at him too see him still only in his boxers.
