Jai's POV

I didn't want Amanda to go with that Matthew guy, but I need to help her; after all, she's always there for me. But he doesn't love her like I do. I am so pathetic, we kiss, we hug, we talk with each other for hours, yet I am too afraid to ask her out. On a proper date.

What am I supposed to do now I love her and I can't have her? What is wrong with me?

"This place is so boring. I'll call Amanda," I said to no one in particular.

"Hi," I said through the phone.

"Oh, hey. I was just about to call you and ask you about what should I wear to the party," she giggled

"The party is not untill tomorrow night; why are you looking for something to wear now?"

"Well I am a girl, I need time to find the perfect thing to wear, and plus I want to look pretty at least once."

"You're naturally beautiful, Amanda."

"That's so cliché," she chuckled.

"Hey, I am not kidding!" I slightly laughed.

"Yeah, right that's why you laughed."

"That doesn't mean I don't mean it," I defend myself.

"Well whatever Jai."

"Why don't you come over? I miss you."

"On my way," she said hanging up.

Ugh just get her out of your mind Jai.

"Jai, it's Amanda!" My bother Beau called from downstairs.

"Coming!" I yelled back, taking two steps at once then pulling her in a tight hug.

"Jai I- can't brea-the," she said trying to catch her breath.

"Sorry, I just really miss you," I said happily.

"I miss you too," she smiled.

I took hold of her hand and ran upstairs to my room.

I sat her on my bed and locked the door then took a step closer to her.

Kiss her! Kiss her! Kiss her!

The thought of kissing her soft lips did not leave my mind, but she was shaking. No wonder why she was afraid of me. I hate my life.

I backed off and gave her a bit space to breath.

She didn't say a word but looked down at her hands; she's so cute when she's nervous.

"I am sorry," I apologized.

She didn't say a word but shook her head as in "no problem".

I wanted her to talk; I wanted to listen to that smooth angel voice.

I held her hand and assured her it wouldn't happen again. Well, I hope so.

"Its fine," she said quietly.

I decided to just forget about it for now at least. And ask her about the party.

"So the party you and Matthew ha?" I smirked.

Even though I was mad at her for going out with Matthew, I am still happy and I"ll always be there for her.

"Jai we already talked about this." She rolled her eyes.

"I know I know," I chuckled.

"I just want to know what you're going to wear."

"Well since it's my first ever party I was thinking to wear something pretty." She laid down on my bed.
