Twenty five
Hilary walked in, and she walked to her table but stopped. She still had her stuff in her hands and kept walking.
"Can I sit with you guys?" She said looking at Alexis.
"Um. Yeah I guess."
Hilary sat down and looked at Siara. "I invited all the girls we sat with in the library, and they all said they would be there."
"That's great."
"And I have their numbers. Do you want me to put them in your phone?"
"Yeah." Siara said handing it to her.
"I put mine in too." Hilary told her, handing it back."
"OK. If there are any songs you want to recommend you can text them to me later." She said to Hilary, then text the girls *text any song recommendations later*
The bell rang and Mrs. Herison said "I will be giving you another prompt, and you will have all class to work on it again." She put up a prompt that said *My future*
"Siara, can I talk to you for a sec?" The teacher said quietly.
"Uh yeah." Siara got up and followed her to the hall. "
I read your story last night and I have to say, it was the best one." Siara was shocked. "Most the others were about getting rewarded, where as yours, actually had meaning." Siara didn't know what to say. "Siara, I am very proud of your writing. I made an extra copy for you to keep." She said handing her a purple folder with her paper inside of it. Mrs. Herison smiled and went back into the class.
Siara followed her and went back to her seat. She sat down silently and stared at the folder.
"Hello? Earth to Siara." She finally heard.
"Huh?"
"I said, what did she say?" Alexis and Hilary were both looking at her, waiting for an answer.
"Oh. Um. She just told me that she liked my paper from yesterday."
"What did you write?"
"Here." She said handing them the folder. They both read it quietly in their heads while she began to write her new paper.
*My future. In my future I see happiness. I see love, and protection. I want my family to feel safe, and loved. I want my friends to be able to rely on me, and know that I will be there for them if they need me. I want my future to be more than others imagined it would be. I want to be a strong young woman, and to grow old, and happy. I want to live a long, full life, that doesn't end when I pass away, but when the memory of my existence, my happiness, my kindness, my love, and my care, is no longer around. When I can no longer be remembered.*
When she finished writing she looked up and saw them staring at her again.
"What?" She finally said.
"It's good." Alexis said.
"It's amazing." Hilary said with tears in her eyes.
