Chapter 26: Total Repentance

Louis' POV:

We approach the studio room where Zara turns to me again "Remember, don't tell the boys anything."

I want to ask her if she is feeling hungry or not but she quickly marches away into the room. The boys look sternly at us. Niall tries to look happy but even the sight of food didn't bring the natural happy glow. What is it that has thickened the tension in the room?

"Did you eat your pizza, Zara?" Liam asks while counting the pizza boxes that I placed on a small table.

"Yeah I did. Sorry couldn't wait anymore." Zara speaks loudly showing the false energy that she got after devouring a pizza.

"Good, I was worried about you." Liam says turning serious again.

Zara smiles in response and then she looks at me and smiles even brighter. That's her way of saying a 'thank you' because I didn't tell the boys that she hadn't eaten anything.

"Is Bruno going to make an appearance today?" I ask the boys.

"No, he is not coming, the traffic is jam. Nobody can move anywhere. He will come tomorrow." Harry stated flatly.

I don't know what is with their mood now. They were all jolly today. What happened while we were out?

"Then how am I going back to my place?" Zara asks appearing totally confused.

"You are staying here at the studio, just like us. Take a couch which is going to be your bed." Zayn replies her with a smile.

I know she will never settle for this. She doesn't trust the boys at all and this thing is for sure. She will argue now, anytime.

"Okay I will take that one, in the other room." Zara replies, again opposing my thoughts. What is happening? She decided to stay here without any chaos. Does this show that she has started trusting us all?

"A full tummy asks for sleep." She says laughingly. How beautifully can she lie?

"Sleep well Zara." Zayn gives a genuine smile.

Zara enters the other room and is out of my sight which gives me an opportunity to inquire the boys about their unusual behavior.

"What's going on lads?"

"Can we eat in peace, Louis?" Harry replies bitterly which makes me think twice if I want to ask the same question again or not. I quietly eat my pizza but with every slice I could feel how much hungry that stupid girl would be who had given her share to someone else. Her selflessness has taken me aback. From the place where I sit, I can see her lying on the couch peacefully in the next room. Isn't she feeling hungry at all?

When the boys finish off their food, I make my way to the dustbin to throw all the empty boxes.

"Now can we talk about it" I ask. My thoughts are captivated by the girl lying on the couch. Although there is quite a lot of distance between her and me, yet I feel a strong pull towards her. Even in her sleeping state, she has a magnetic personality that is asking me to draw nearer to her. It is becoming difficult for me to keep her out of my mind. Concentrating on the discussion has become even harder now.
