Chapter 28: Change my mind

LOUIS' POV

We silently take our places in my Range Rover and Zara sits in the passenger seat while I choose to drive. The ride to the airport is silent except for the song that emerges out of my radio. It's our song called Change my mind.

'So baby if you say you want me to stay

Stay for the night

I'll change my mind'

I wish it was that easy to say or do. Occasionally, I steal glances of the beautiful girl sitting next to me. Moonlight is perfectly lighting up her adorable features but there was always something even brighter and shinier about her; and that was her character. She had taken over every thought, every nerve of my being with her magnanimous personality. She is busy looking out of the window as if she wants to see the whole London in the blink of an eye. How sad it was that she stayed here for a couple of days and she didn't get the opportunity to go for sight-seeing.

"Eyes on the road, Louis." Harry speaks suddenly from the back seat and I become aware that someone is watching me. I quickly divert my attention to the road in front. I wish the road to the airport gets blocked or there is some storm coming that delays and even cancels every single flight today. Or there can be a thunderstorm that can halt our movement. And a tsunami can be supportive in that case too; Or the best thing that the world can come to an end. In any way, I just wish that the girl sitting next to me doesn't go away from me. Even if it means that I have to face the worst, I will gladly do that if she is by my side.

Wait a minute! What's happening to me? What is this girl doing to me? May be, it's the best thing that she goes away from me so that there isn't anyone around me that can have so much control over me. I am lost in my thoughts when I realize that I am approaching the airport lane. Soon I park my car in the parking of the departure zone. My heart races at the speed of light. I look at her and I feel she has the same heart rate. The car is silent.

"Boys, good bye then." Zara smiles

"We're coming inside the airport along with you." Zayn states while I unbuckle my seat belt.

"No Zayn, please. I think if you guys will be by my side inside the airport, I will start crying at my loss." She smirks. "And I think I have handled the situation pretty well. I don't wanna cry at the last moment. I want to make it a memorable happy moment and if you all will be waving your hands at me therein... I won't make it without crying."

"Zara, I will miss you." Zayn says quickly.

"Me too."

"Me three."

"Me four."

Liam, Harry and Niall continue voicing their feelings. She laughs. Of course, she doesn't think that I will miss her. I think that too. I won't miss her because I think something inside me will die, today. Why am I feeling this? May be it's just a phase.
