Chapter 49: Karma
Zara's POV:
Landing at the Kuwait Airport was like a warm welcome by the country itself. Feeling the air of Kuwait gave me Goosebumps. After taking my luggage, I march towards the exit door where I'm already expecting my parents and Kashaf. As anticipated, my parents saw me from a distance and Kashaf came running towards me. With a bang, she hugged me and I felt how much I had missed this hug for so long.
"Kashaf, I missed you so much." I was on the verge of crying.
"C'mon Zara. We all missed you. We have a surprise for you." She starts dragging me towards my parents who are standing next to a pillar waiting for me.
"I have a surprise for you too. I have to tell you so much." I am smilingly explaining to her while I move towards my parents. I hug my mum and my dad who are already sobbing in their hug.
"We missed you, Zara." They both exclaim their feelings of joy while I give them the tightest hug.
"We have a surprise for you." Kashaf says it again.
"What is it, Kash?" I beamingly ask her.
"There you go." She points at the pillar from where emerges the 'once known toothless idiot'.
"Zaroon." I am in shock. Zaroon comes closer to me holding a bouquet of flowers.
"Hi, Zara! Welcome home." He hands over the bouquet to me. I look at Kashaf to gauge what's going on and why is he here?
"So, Zaroon was the surprise?" I ask Kashaf being a little less rude than I wanted to be.
"Well! The surprise is that..... Mum and Dad... You have to say this." Kashaf looks at them excitedly. What's happening here?
"You are getting engaged to Zaroon, this Monday." Mum breaks the silence.
"W—Whattt?" I look at Kashaf and then my parents, hoping that somebody would say that we are joking but looking at Zaroon, the way he was blushing at the mere mention of engagement, gave me the idea that whatever they said was not a joke.
"Mum... You guys are joking right?"
"Awwww.... She's so nervous and that's so cute." Kashaf hugs me.
"C'mon girls. Let's go home. We have to prepare for the engagement ceremony too." My dad takes hold of my luggage.
Kashaf starts dragging me out of the place when in fact I can barely move. Looking at Zaroon made me feel like killing him or myself. This can't happen. This shouldn't happen.
Louis' POV:
"Bro, you left the party and didn't receive any of our calls. Look at your hand, your eyes. What's going on?" Zayn asks me. Yeah right, he should ask me. He, who is the reason behind everything, has the right to ask me.
"Nothing mate. I was missing my grandma." I seriously answer, not willing to make any conversation.
"So why is this glass broken everywhere in your apartment?" Zayn inquires again.
The four boys had come to my place early morning when everything in my house was merely a mess. Blood stained China was everywhere on the floor. My white shirt was dirtied up with my blood and I was lying on my couch when the doorbell rang and they all came in. Everyone was shocked to see me in this state. I wouldn't lie, I was shocked too. To see myself as a typical drunkard heartbroken lover was something I had never expected.
