You've got your stock standard interplanetary empire of dubious morals. After some big invasion or civil war or rebellion, theyre taking a batch of super soldiers and other colonists to this.......horrid ass backwater planet. Im talking its still tribal, almost medieval.
So, the task of this colony ship is to settle down and make a proper city amongst these savages.
Only....they never quite made it. The ship was ambushed in orbit by pirates, and in the fighting both ships were lost.
You were one of the pirates. After landing, you were captured by one of those super soldiers. Only....your in the wilderness, not near enough to pirate gang of any government outpost
