Chapter 15.

Five Days later.

[Kate's Apartment, 1:43 am, No one hates you.]

(Louis is standing in the balcony, crying and drinking wine from the bottle with a straw.)

Kate: (opens the door, Louis doesn't notice her, observes him for a minute) "Louis?"

Louis: (wipes his tears, doesn't turn around) "Yeah?"

Kate: "Louis, come inside."

Louis: (throws out the straw and directly drinks from the bottle) "I don't want to."

Kate: "Louis, come inside. It's raining and you already have a cold. Please."

Louis: (turns around, small) "Can I have the ice cream, please?"

Kate: (smiles) "Of course. I'll get it for you."

Louis: "No, no. I'll get it. You take rest."

Kate: (sees Louis coming back, pats the couch) "Come here, sit with me."

Louis: "Is Aspen sleeping?"(Kate nods)

Kate: (watches Louis eat big spoons of ice cream) "What happened, Louis?"

Louis: (shrugs) "I fucked everything up."

Kate: "What happened?"

Louis: (takes a gulp of his wine, after a minute, whispers) "Niall."

Kate: "What Niall?"

Louis: (breaks down) "I want my Niall back!"

Kate: (rubs Louis' back to calm him down, sad) "Oh, Louis."

Louis: (sobs) "I-I need my best friend back!"

Kate: "Did you talk to him?"

Louis: (shakes his head) "No. He hates me."

Kate: (almost laughs) "He hates you?"(Louis nods) "We're talking about Niall Horan, right?"

Louis: "Yes, Kate."

Kate: "Niall can never hate you, Louis."

Louis: (crying) "H-he does, Kate! He even kicked me out!"(wipes his tears) "He must also think that I used him, when I can't even function without him!"

Kate: (puts Louis' head in her lap, patting his head) "You didn't use him, Louis. I've seen how much you do for him."

Louis: "Everyone thinks that I'm a bad person."(pouts) "Am I a bad person, Kate?"

Kate: (smiles) "No, Louis, you're the sweetest person in this world. You just act stupidly sometimes."

Louis: "I miss his stupid pale face."(sniffles) "But he hates me now."

Kate: (sighs) "Do you remember how you became friends in Kindergarten?"

Louis: "Yeah. I hated him."(smiles slightly) "He basically forced me to sit with him and then annoyed me with his stupid irish songs!"(laughs slightly) "And I don't even know why, but I chose to sit with him the next day."

Kate: (smiling) "And what happened when you stole his fries? He didn't say anything to you, right?"

Louis: (smiles) "He brought me more the next day."
