I wake up to the sound of the annoying damn birds chirping. It's 6am which means school. Another torturous day. I put on sweatpants and a sweatshirt cause it's thirty six degrees outside. I brush my teeth and hair and sprint downstairs. I see my mom making me something to eat as I get ready for prison, I mean school.
"Are you going to eat your pancakes," my mom asks.
"Yeah thanks," I reply taking a bite out of the fluffy pancakes.
"Honey I have news to tell you," mother blurts out.
"What's the news?"
"Well I got a job out of the country, and since you're 18-"
"Mom..." I start to panic.
"I'm sorry but I am leaving you to go to England while you continue to go to school here in Philly." I drop my fork and jaw. There is no way she is leaving me here alone. Especially around this time.
"When are you moving?"
"In about ten minuets.." My mom says acting guilty.
"ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME? YOU DIDN'T BOTHER TO TELL ME YOU WERE LEAVING TO GO TO ANOTHER COUNTRY?!"
"I'm sorry but it's just how life rolls."
I throw away my pancake and grab my bag. Tears are coming out of my eyes and I give my mom one last look, "have fun in England," with that I slam the door and run to the car.
Just like that she was gone even though she's in the house. I plug in my phone and blare the music. I back out of the driveway and head to Dunkin Donuts. I buy myself a small coffee and head back out to the car when I see a guy with bleach blonde hair leaning up against my car.
"Um, why are you leaning on my car?" I ask.
"Oh this is your car? I thought it was my friends," The guy said.
"Okay then can you please move? I'm already in a bad mood," I respond. He still doesn't move which is really pissing me off.
"I never got your name beautiful," he pouts.
"My name is Ashley now please move," I beg.
"Mine is Michael, we go to the same school but you never see me but I have seen you plenty of times."
"Okay creep, get off my damn car!" I shout so only Michael can here.
"I'm not moving until you give me your number," he smirks.
"Okay fine here," I hand him a tiny slip of paper with my number on it.
"Why thank you gorgeous, see you soon." He disappears into the grey fog that the rain left behind. Weird.
I climb into my car and make my way to school. When I enter the building I throw away my empty coffee cup and make my way up to Calum, my best friend, who is already at his locker.
"Hey Cal," I say.
"Oh, hey Ash, did you get Dunkin with out me? Your breath smells like caramel," he says disappointed.
"Whoops, sorry I forgot."
"Yeah yeah yeah."
"While I was in the parking lot this guy, Michael, wouldn't leave me the hell alone," I say annoyingly.
"Did you catch his last name?" Calum asks.
"Nope, but he had bleach blonde hair and supposedly goes here," I explain.
"Ashley, stay away from him. He's not exactly a good kid," Calum's face goes from happy and cheery to concerned.
"What do you mean?"
