Pass that test. Pt1

The day of the Exam

"Well be getting loaded up. You sure you'll be able to find it?" Mr. Aizawa asked Y/N. "Yeah." Y/N said, getting the girls loaded into the transport. "Listen... i told you that it's going to be hard. And im sorry for making a whole scene." Mr. Aizawa said. "It's fine. We'll be fine." Y/n said. He got into the transport. Mr. Aizawa turned away. Y/n sighed. It was hurting him to be mad at Mr. Aizawa. And to feel nowhere with figuring out how to help crystal and echo. He vented his frustration with Melissa the other night.

"Look. I know you want us to succeed. We are going to do our best. I just feel at a dead end with how to help them grow, and get better." Y/N said. "See you at the facility." He continued and closed the transport cockpit door. Mr. Aizawa walked off with the engines wiring in the background, as he headed to the bus.

A few hours later, the students got to the exam facility. Y/N joined the students out by the bus. "If you can pass this test and get your provisional licenses, then you novice eggs will hatch into chicks. You'll be semi-pros. I expect your best." Mr Aizawa said. A group of kids with different uniforms came close to the class. Their hats had the symbol of UAs rival school. Shiketsu. Y/N slumped off, heading back to the transport to grab his stuff. And get the girls fed.

He got to the transport, and some people in suits were around. And a guy with a sort of blonde shaggy hair. "Can i help you?" Y/N asked coming up. "Your Y/N, L/N right? These are your animals?" One of the guys in the suit asked. "Yes. I was informed that they were cleared into entering the test." Y/n said. The guy just stared at Y/n through his sun glasses. "Is that not accurate anymore?" Y/N asked firmly, his chest feeling tight. "No need to worry." The shaggy haired man said sounding so exhausted Y/N was surprised he was even standing. "They are cleared, I just wanted to see for myself what all of the hubbub was about." The man said. "If you dont mind. Im going to feed them and get them ready." Y/N said. "Oh, dont mind us. We were just heading inside." The man said, and the group left. Y/N got inside, and got the girls food ready. I dont like that. They knew i was coming. They knew all about this. So why?

Crystal and echo finished eating, Y/N got their suits on. "Im going to get changed myself. Roy, do a diagnostic on their suits." Y/N said grabbing his suit case. He looked back at the small little yellow marked chips on the suits. It was Roys extension units. It's how he was able to be in their suits. Y/N got into the cockpit. "Roy. Im going to disconnect you from their suits. And turn off their chips." Y/N said. "Hmmm. A wise choice. I would most likely not be permitted to aid their performances. Would you like to give them full neuro-nano control?" Roy asked. "Yes." Y/N said. He sighed, and nodded to himself. It's honest. They'll be thinking for themselves. This will take away a lot of the other functions that would aid them.

Y/N got changed, and got the girls out of the transport. The men in suits were waiting outside again. "Please. Follow us." They said. The three walked in. Crystal and echo could already sense a difference. And both figured why.

The three were taken into a massive room, where everyone was at. All of the other student. Crystal and echo both sniffed the air, as some kids looked back in shock, and even horror. Up at the front, a large screen. And the men in suits. And the shaggy tired man. "Okay then. Let's do this exam thing. Im from, uh, the Heroes Public safety commission. Names Mera." Mera continued to explain about why he's so tired. Y/N kept this thoughts at bay while Mera explained.

"So, about the content of this license thing. Basically 1,540 examines compete in a free for all exercise of whatever we're calling it this year. See, weve got a lot of pros around, and since stain was arrested, many people've expressed doubts about heroes in society." Mera said. Y/N took in a deep breath. He could tell where this was going. Shit. "But, when you really think about it. Getting paid makes sense. If youo're going to risk your life to save someone, why shouldn't you ask for a reward, huh? That's just the way the world works. God, I could use a coffee." Mera said.

Same Mr. Aizawa thought to himself.

"Anyway. Whether thy're in if for compensation or an out of a sense of duty. We've got too many heroes working in the streets these days to keep villains at bay. Honestly the time between when an incident begins and ends is ridiculously short. You are all here trying receive your provisional licenses, so you'll be swept up in this tiresome mess yourselves pretty soon. Those of you who dont have the speed, frankly just wont cut it. Which is why thats what you'll be tested on." Mera said and the screen in the bag changed and read 'Number to pass 1st test 100 people'

Y/Ns gut plunged to the floor. "The first hundred students to fulfill the requirements will pass today." Mera said. Shit. That's less than 10 percent. Crystal and echo both looked at him, sensing his nervousness. Y/N let out a sigh, and steeled his dedication and determination. Mera began explaining the basics. Theres targets that you put on your body, you'll given 6 balls. Hit the targets, if you get two people you pass. And if you hit someone's 3rd target, you get credit for the 'Kill'.

Y/N stood in thought, he could tell Izuku was as well. Their nerd senses were tingling. Everyone will be desperate to pass. So everyone will be going pretty rough. All through we're the only first years, as im aware of. The other Stu- wait.. wait wait wait. Shit. The sports festival! Everyone here most definitely saw it. So we're at a disadvantage. They know our fighting styles, they know our quirks. Y/N grinned. But they dont know crystal and echo. They'll most likely recognize Crystals powers as todorokis, but they are fundamentally different. As it's her whole body. Okay. I'm not as worried about them anymore. It's myself i need to worry about. Those targets could fall off if i transform into something too small. Or too big.

"Anyway. I guess we'll start passing out the targets and the balls. Then you'll have a few minutes to get situated before we open." Mera said. The whole building began to shake, and the ceiling began to part. The whole place unravel like a cardboard box, crashing into the ground around it. Outside, a plethora of biomes. Mountains, suburban, facility. Crystal and echo looked around. Y/n was given the targets and the balls for him and the other two.

The three got situated. And the class was about ready. "Everyone. Stay close together, we'll fight them as a group." Izuku said. Bakugo ran off with Kirishima and Kaminari behind him. Todoroki went on his own too. Crystal looked his way. "Crystal, come on girl!" Todoroki yelled. Crystal looked at Y/N. Y/N nodded. "Be careful." Y/N said. Echo ran off. "Oh, where are you going? You'll have a hard time on your own." Y/N said. Echo turned back and gestured for him to fallow. "If you say so." Y/N said and turned into an Utah, his targets still on his body.

"Oh come on guys!" Izuku said. And the class began to run. "It's not a good idea for them to go out on their own." He said. "How come?" Mineta asked. "Think about it. Everyone already knows what powers we have." Izuku said. "They did research?" Uraraka asked. "I get it. The sports festival." Iida said.

Miss joke gloated about the almost yearly tradition of UA getting swarmed as soon at the test starts. Mr. Aizawa watched the class intently. "The other schools have probably figured out the same way to win that i have. This is going to end up being a battle between schools. With that in mind, it's likely they'll gang up against quirks they know." Izuku said. "Wait, does that mean?" Mina said worried. A horn beeped. "The first test will now begin." An announcer said.

"If you like your class this year, then you should have warned your students about all this. We've seen it time and time again in this exam. UA is immediately crushed." Miss Joke said, as every single other class rushed to charge Class A. "I knew it." Izuku said. A boy with black hair, someone who greeted izuku personally earlier spoke up. "I saw you on TV. That power of yours also destroys your body. Well, I can't say im above taking advantage of that!" The boy yelled hurling the ball at izuku. Every other student hurled their balls at the class. Izuku ran forwards jumping up wot his body glowing with green energy, he kicked one of the balls back, sending a shock wave of air throwing all of the balls back.

"So you think we'll be taken out? I dont really see a reason why I should've warned them. I doubt anything would have changed if i had. They're still going to have to overcome this either way."

The students showed off their training by blocking the balls, their ultimate moves were shining through. Which surprised the other classes.

"Real heroes could turn this situation around. Besides, if they become pros, they'll face villains who already know their quirks. Perhaps at UA, we look a little further ahead than other schools." Mr Aizawa said to Miss joke. "We've got his You guys. Let's show them what UA can do!" Izuku yelled to the class.
