2 weeks before final exams.
"Ok Roy. Let's try this out." I said. Over the past couple weeks, we've made more progress with the jets. Me and Roy are testing an upgraded F-14. The building we have had robotic arms that took it apart, and added things. We upgraded the hydraulics, redid the cockpit, put in some new test engines. We took it took the air base where i was going to I-island. My parents called there friends and had an over night room set up for me. I was staying the night to talk with Melissa, about ,making another AI with the same processing power as Roy, and tailoring it more to Izuku and shoto.
The final product will be built from the ground up. We've come up with some new mateirals for the jets, and taken a lot of inspiration from the jets we've had in terms of size, what ability's, the engines, sensors, etc. these are going to be completely one of a kind jets. "Ok guys. I'll be back Monday." I said, giving my mom and dad a hug. I gave Mina one as well. "You've got plenty of fuel to make it there, and they can top it off before you leave. Stay safe. I'm glad you're getting your flight hours in." Pete said. "Well, escort you for a couple miles." Izuku and shoto said, heading towards the F-18's. I hopped in and strapped down. I put on the F-35 helmet we were about to replicate to my head size, i guess the helmets for the pilots are made for each pilot specifically. So we had to make one for me, with some changes. To test out some features we are gonna have in the final product. "You get situated, Me, and Deku are gonna get in the air." Shoto said over the comms. "Ten fore." I said. They got into the air with their jets roaring in the air, the air vibrating, the ground shaking.
"Roy, your in?" I asked. "Yes sir. Closing the canapé." He said and the canapé closed. "Do a systems check. " i said, as Roy controlled the jet and taxid to the runway. "Fuel. Go. Engines. Go. Control surfaces. Go." Roy said. "Trainy 2, you are cleared for take off." I heard from the tower. "Control is yours, sir." Roy said. The wings were out. "Ok, here we go." I pushed the throttle forward, and began to move forward. The throttle gauge went up as i got faster. When it it the right speed, and slowly began to pull back on the control stick. I began to get up in the air, and soon left the ground, gaining altitude. I joined up with Izuku and shoto in the air, as they escorted me off the Japanese coast.
"Ok, it's a straight shot for the next 200 miles. You got it?" Izuku asked over the comms. "I got it." I said. "See you back on Monday." Shoto said, and they both broke off, turning back to the air base. The sun was beginning to set. "Sir, let me know if i need to take over. You will need sleep." Roy said. "Sleep is for chumps." I said, folding the wings in, and pushing the throttle forward all the way. My speedometer needle began to go higher fast. "Sir, target is 25 degrees to your left." Roy said. "Ten fore." I said, and adjusted my heading, and gained some more altitude. I kept an eye on the radar. "Sir, two transpacific flights coming up on the right, 20 miles away." Roy said. "Copy, Civilian aircraft 20 miles to the right." I replied.
It was pretty quiet for a while. Roy was doing check about every 10 minutes to make sure everything was good. And plus since its experimental, were making sure everything is working right. Even though we did a bunch of times the past couple days. "Sir, Target is 30 miles out." Roy said. "Thank you Roy." I said, slowing my speed to a steady cruise. "This is I-island Tower, Identify yourself." I heard over the radio. "I-Island tower, this is Trainy 2. Call sign is Echo, Charlie Delta. I am the "special case, from Ingen Airbase." I said. "Copy Trainy 2. You are cleared as the "Special case." Your are cleared to land at 42R landing strip. Over." I heard. "Copy. Runway 42R, over." I said.
I then noticed the lights for the landing strip ahead. I changed my heading to match with the light, and found the runway. I got my landing gear down, and my landing flaps down. "Sir, i can handle this." Roy said. "Ok." I said, and Roy took control of the jet. I let go of the stick and it was staying upright, and moving slowly on its own. He landed the plane, and slowed down. "This is clearer than i thought." I said looking at me being the only landing plane. The only aircraft to be seen. "Trainy 2. You are to proceed to the Hanger on the left." I heard over the radio. "Copy. Hanger to the left, over." I said. Roy moved the jet to the jam gear, and the giant doors opened. "Continue forward." I heard, and slowly continued. "Thank you sir." I said over to comms. "You're welcome, have a nice night. Nice flying by the way." He said. Roy got us in, and then began to shut down the engines. A lot of the personnel in the hanger looked at the jet in awe. Then a guy on a special vehicle grabbed onto the front landing gear and pulled the jet to the slot that was set up.
