At a press conference in San Diego, at the headquarters of InGen. A crowd of reporters gathered. It took longer for the news and history about ingen, the islands to really circle the globe, and to be a hot pressing issue. With a world of the supernatural, and high technological advancement being secluded to certain aspects of life, and reserved to certain demographics. Genetic power was something that some had really never accounted for, or frankly didnt quite get the implications of it.
John was at a table, seated facing an audience of mixed emotions, along with quirks. He bore a light grey suit, along with a relic of his family. The amber headed cane, once used by his great grandfather. It's symbolism in this time was only known to a few.
John was merely the voice of the team back in japan. He was closest with Collin and his family. And made damn sure to keep that connection close.
After what seemed like hours of questions to the real heads of the company, who were trusting John's judgement and instincts. Someone finally wanted to talk to john himself. A man stood up. "I have a question, for Mr. Hammond if he doesn't mind." The man said. The CEO, VP, and other executives turned to look at the old man. "I dont mind at all." John said. The past few months showing in his more groveled look.
The man who stood up rung a ring of nostalgia through the air. A slight flicker of light came across the amber head of the camera next to john. The man wore an all black attire. With a black dress shirt under a black leather jacket. His stance giving him the impression of a man of thought, and his grabbing of his reading glasses from his face gave him a distinguishing characteristic. "Mr Hammond. How has the questions of the past, impacted your judgements when it comes to facing a potential global shake up?" The man asked. John licked his lips. He glanced at the cane next to him.
"What questions are you meaning?" John asked back. "Im aware that your great grandfather sought insight of many people in fields that could help push his park through to opening. And recent information from these people being released, it seems they questioned the morals and ethics behind bringing an extinct species back into the world. Im asking you. Do you those same questions apply with the continued steps taken by your family's company." The man asked.
John grabbed the cane, and stood up. Grasping into the amber of the cane. "The questions of the past, are not what we should be talking about. They were relevant when they were being asked. What's important is the questions of today." John said. "And what might those questions be?" The man asked. "How will we reconcile this new reality? How will we prepare for the future? How will the life weve known, change? How will it continue?" John said.
"If the questions of today were to be answered, how would you answer them?" The man asked. John smiled. "Life cannot be contained. It can be changed, it can be manipulated. But, life will always find away. To prove its power. And make you respect it."
Y/N sat down for lunch. Crystal waddled over to the water bowl. Her body burned with soreness. Echo stopped, exhaled, and rolled onto the ground. "How do you think they are doing today?" Mandalay asked Y/N. he looked at crystal and echo, who looked back at her. With some distain. "They were getting the hang of their earlier training." Y/N said. Mandalay looked at him. "You can pull the plug on this. They are yours to take care of." She said. Y/N looked at them both. And looked at the class.
"Mandalay, what are the wild wild pussy cats known for?" Y/N asked. "What we're known for?" She asked. "We're a group specializing in mountain rescues. We're dedicated to helping those in need." Mandalay said. "Okay. Thanks." Y/N said. It didnt answer his question. It wasnt the answer he was wanting. He looked as crystal laid down next to the water tank, and echo was getting a drink herself. He could see the transport, and his jet in the distance. He looked over at the rest of the students. He knew the answer he was wanting.
"Mandalay." Y/N said going up to her a little later. "Im gonna send them home." He said. "Who's going home?" Aizawa asked. "Crystal and echo. I... I need to remember, their animals. They're loyal, and im great full. But, theres other ways to train them." "Well do you know how your going too train them?" Aizawa asked. "No. But, I'll figure it out." Y/N turned to Aizawa. "We're here to get us more ready for the hero license. Our lives as humans are so much more complicated than theirs. I want them to help. But, i need to remember they are animals. And they need to be treated and respected as such. I want them to succeed. But, crystal doesn't know how to control her powers as much as todoroki. And todoroki can be more precise." Y/N said.
"I get you buddy. And i think it's the right call. We werent sure how they would handle this. And while they've dont well, it's not the life they deserve." Aizawa said patting Y/Ns shoudler. Y/N nodded.
Crystal and echo got into the transport. "Roy. Escort them Home." Y/N said. "Will you want me to return?" Roy asked. "You know what. Get the other two, and have them go to get a tune up, cleaned." Y/N said putting his watch in the cockpit. "Woah, we wont be able to communicate." Roy said. Y/N sighed. "I need to be more active with my class. Besides, we should be fine." He said. He stepped back and watched as the aircraft got into the air. "Everything okay?" Izuku asked. "Yeah. Just, they don't deserve this. Todoroki could train her one on one. We gotta have facilities to help them." Y/N said. "For?" Izuku asked. "The hero license. We.. we can analyze a situation. We can communicate to get first aid. We know to how to control our quirks so that we dont hurt people. Our brain function is so much more capable. I want them to be able to help on a scene. To be able to keep people safe. If theirs blood from hurt civilians, how are they going to react?" Y/N asked. Izuku nodded. "You're right. Heroism is a human trait. It's not something that can be taught to prehistoric creatures." Izuku said.
"I'll worry about that later. I need to focus on my own training. How to grow my quirk. If i can." Y/N said, as the aircraft slowly become dots in the blue sky. "Well, if there a limit to how many genes you can store?" Izuku asked. "I dont know. But, im kinda lazy to really try that." Y/N said. "Well, maybe you could work on your ability to play as people? Or using other peoples quirks in necessary." Izuku said. Y/N shrugged. "Y/N!" He heard Aizawa yell. He looked back and ran to Aizawa. "So. With them gone. It's time to really it you to the test. Walk with me." He said. "Your uncle taught you some martial arts?" He asked. "More or less. Some stuff, but ive been using my quirk so much. I kinda-" Mr Aizawa cut him off. "That's it. You've been using your quirk too much. You're not fighting as YOU. You can change, and think smart. But, you gotta get more in touch with your own skin man." Aizawa said.
"I guess." Y/N said. "Okay well. For the rest of the day, you'll be training with me." Y/N jumped. "You?" He asked kinda scared. "Yup. We got this for you." He said showing a training katana. "You'll be working on your own skills. Your own movements. Not you in a dinosaur form. As you right now." He said. Y/N sighed. "Okay. Let's go old man." And grabbed the katana.
"Preparations are complete. The attack will commence tonight." Shigaraki said to a small monitor in the wall. "Excellent." All For ones voice came through the speakers. "The group got their shipment i presume?" He asked. "Yes." Shigaraki said.
Henry listened outside of the room. He needed to get Kuroguri alone. Meurte looked at him. "If they are attacking the kids. We not attack the airbase. We know where it is." He whispered. "That wont be something we can afford." Henry said. "Why are you so reserved?" Meurte asked. "Because they have all of ingen, backing them. And that base used to belong to the US airforce. If we attack, we could have the US navy on our door step." Henry said. "When did you become such a pussy?" Meurte asked. "And when did you start questioning my position?" Henry asked. "You know, i dont even know why i made your anymore. You're nothing but a brat with a emo persona." Henry said. Meurte looked at him. He git Henry's message. He brought him into this world. He can easily take him out.
Meurte walked away seething. "I'll show that old man." He said.
(Yo yo. So, yeah i wanted to keep johns speech. And i had crystal and echo go back because, when i tried it before i had to balance the power difference. I mean with Y/N there now there still is some. But, im liking this better. I hope your guys are. I'll get another chapter out tomorrow. See you guys.)
