Chapter 17

Cheryl stares at her daughter as she sleeps peacefully on her hospital bed. Holding her hand firmly in hers, she starts to stroke the beautiful locks that spreads out contrasting with the white sheets. Her heart is full of joy. She was complete.

She now has two kids and a husband. They could live together in their mansion, just the four of them. And spend most of their time together. She can already imagine it.

She's been waiting all her life for this to happen. And it happened, and it was okay. Athena loves her and she couldn't be more thankful about that.

"I will always be here. I won't ever lose you anymore." She whispers and sealed her words with a kiss. It was a promise that Cheryl made and swear on her life she won't break it.

The silence in the room was interrupted when Lisa and Simon walks in quietly. And what they saw made huge smiles appear on their faces.

The two exchanged looks before walking towards them. Simon gave his wife a kiss on her forehead making her look up to him and immediately launched herself to him.

"Athena's my daughter" She whispers as she held on Simon even tighter and it made him let out a soft giggle.

"Yea, she is." Simon sighs in satisfaction and somewhat relief as he held his wife in her arms at the same time staring at Athena who looks just like Xheryl when she's sleeping. He knows with the fact that he always watch his wife sleep in the middle of the night.

"We have a daughter" Cheryl whisper still not convinced that after eleven years she has finally found her daughter with the help of her husband and she's still in the process of letting all sinkin her mind.

"Hmm" Simon lets out a chuckle and place a deep kiss on her head. Not getting enough of his wife's cuteness and it completely satisfies Simon. Now that he can totally see thae sparkle in the brunette's eyes. Her full smile is showing up. It lifted up the weight in his heart.

Cheryl pulls away and turn to her daughter and saw Lisa smiling at her. She smiled back and sat back to her seat holding Athena's hand again.

"Thank you Cheryl" Lisa whispers as she stared at the brunette with a smile plastered on her face.

"For what?"

"For making her dream come true. I'm happy to know that she'll be happy and safe with you cause that's all I was asking for. For her to be safe." Cheryl sighs as a smile slowly grew on her face as she stood up and walked over to Lisa giving her a tight hug.

"Thank you for looking out for my daughter these past years. I honestly owe you one."

"Don't mention it" She smiles as Cheryl pull away and smiled at her.

"I'll just go and talk to Marvin about this so he could release Athena earlier and she can go with you." Cheryl's eyes lit up upon hearing this. Lisa stood up and gave Cheryl a smile before walking out.

"Athena Isabella" Cheryl turns to er husband saw him sat on the chair by the hospital bed stroking the little girl's locks and it made her smile widely.

Taking out her phone, she took a picture of Simon stroking Athena's locks and smiled at the result setting it as her lock screen.

"Athena Isabella, her name. It's beautiful." Simon sighs as his eyes travel to his wife walking towards him.

"Yea" Cheryl giggles as Simon pulls her to sit in his lap. They both looked at Athena sleeping so peacefully on the hospital bed as a hufe smile formon their faces. It was a night they won't forget.

Early morning the day after, the Cowell family drives to the hospital with a lot on the trunk. Baby Eric was excited cause his father just told him this morning he already has a big sister and it brighten the little boy's mood up.

They brought a big box of roses and a dozen of red velvet cupcake along with them. They wanted to make Athena feel happy and it was their way on helping her out of her illness. And they knew it was working.

As soon as they got in the hospital, they went straight to Athena's room and saw their little girl watching Lisa and Marvin as they talk. But as soon as they noticed their prescence, they look towards them and smiles appeared on their faces especially Athena showing her dimples already and it made Cheryl melt as she sees this.

"Hi Lisa, Marvin" Cheryl says as she and Baby Eric walked towards the bed sitting themselves down in front of her daughter.

"Hi sweet angel" She placed a deep kiss on the girl's forehead making her smile. Eric gets out of Cheryl's hold and launched himself to Athena melting in her arms.

The little girl was taken aback with the action. At first, she just stares at her Mam not knowing what to do and when Cheryl smiled at her, she slowly wrapped her arms around the little boy and as her arms were around him, she tighten her hold to him closing her eyes placing a kiss on her brother's shoulder.

The scene made Cheryl quite emotional. She's stuck staring at her children. Their affection releasing into each other's arms.

She was happy.

"Uhm..C-can I talk to you for a second Mrs. Cowell?" Marvin snapped Cheryl out of her daze as she turns to him. She nods and stood up telling Simon to take over and look out for their children.

She walks out of the room with Marvin anf sat themselves down at the nearby bench.

"I saw the DNA test Mrs. Cowell and I'm so happy that Athena found her real mother is. Cause she's all she talks about back at the shelter." Cheryl lets out a huge smile and nod at him.

"But I just need to inform you Mrs. Cowell that there is still a procedure to follow for Athena to get out."

"I don't care, I would do anything. I just want my daughter back."

"Okay so as far as I know, She would be getting out of the hospital tomorrow, For the mean time she wod be staying at the shelter while her papers are being processed. Is that okay with you?"

"Yea. I will wait for her." Cheryl smiles thinking that finally and soon her daughter will be with them she just has to wait
