Cheryl woke up to see that her daughter is still asleep. She was facing her and she can't help but stare the girl infront of her as a lump started to grow in her throat. She can see how unhappy her daughter is even though she's sleeping.

Tears started to from in her eyes until the first drop landed on the pillow. She didn't even bother to wipe off the remaining ones because she was to caught up with the thought of having her daughter experience all of that. It was too much already.

She can't even imagine what is it like for Athena to cope with that everyday, though she doesn't remember it happened. She's been dreaming of it any day these past few days. And that what really haunts her every night.

She's suppose to be happy

Cheryl mentally said as she start to stroke her daughter's brown locks. Yes, her daughter was supposed to be happy. She should be the girl she was before but right now, she doesn't even know if that will come back. Because having that trauma won't go away easily. It doesn't go away when you wake up first thing in the morning. Its doesn't work that way.

But still, she's determined of bringing her back. That one day, she would see the smile that reaches her beautiful blue eyes and the laugh that makes her heart skip a beat because Cheryl knows that there is still hope inside the little girl's heart and she would really help her get back to herself and put the past behind her. She would be there, beside her, every step of the way.

"I love you Isabella" She placed a soft kiss on the girl's forehead before deciding to go to their room to check on her husband so she slowly and carefully slipped off the bed and raised the duvet slightly up to Athena's chin before placing a kiss on her cheek and headed out.

She wiped her tears as she walked through the hallway and noticed that Eric's door is slightly open making her frown. She took a peek on the little opening and saw that her son is still asleep making her sigh and just closed the door before heading towards their room. When she got there, there was no sign of Simon on the bed making her confuse.

"Babe" She called out but there was no answer. She checked in the ensuit, the wardrobe, the veranda but there was no sign of him so she thought that he might have woken up before her. She then headed downstairs hoping to see him in his office but still he wasn't in there.

"Simon?" She says as she walked in to the kitchen and noticed a note on the refrigerator. She walked up to it and read the note.

Headed out, be back later X

Cheryl took her phone in her pocket deciding to ring her husband to ask where is he.It rang twice before his voice came up to the phone.

"Hello"

"Simon where are you?" Cheryl said firmly

" I said I'm going out. I need air to clear up my mind." The tone in Simon's voice made Cheryl soften. She  knows her husband ia hurting with all of this, she is too, and when Simon gets into this moments he's not himself.

"Can you just get back here okay, I'm worried Simon. Come back home and we'll talk."

"I can't, not yet"

"Why?" She says as a frown form on her face. "Where are you anyway?"

"I had to visit Mum. I don't know what else to do. Everytime I close my eyes, I would picture that- I can't even say it right now." He hears him sigh and it totally broke Cheryl's heart. She licked the corner of her lips as she settles down on the stool by the counter feeling a lump growing in her throat. She knows how close Simon was to his mother and it really broke his heart when she passed away.
