Chapter 84

Athena's P.O.V.
I woke up from my sleep to see that its already four in the afternoon. I was surprised by the time because I felt odd to wake up in this time of day. I let out a huge sigh and pull myself up and get out of bed going straight to the ensuite to take a shower. After that, I changed clothes and walked to the mirror to see what I look like. What I see really confused me.

I swear I am happy, with what was going on around me and what is happening in my life right now as I am surrounded by positive people and a lovely family. But what I see on the inside is totally the opposite of that. I somehow feel incomplete. Something inside me is sad and confuse about everything that's going on around me.

"Everything will be alright Athena, Just relax" I whispered to myself before taking in a breath and letting it go before turning around and headed towards the door.

As I approach the stairs, I can already hear laughter coming from the front room and a very familiar voice. I walked downstairs and saw Eric with a red head woman, Nicola, I think. They didn't noticed my presence not until I cleared my throat which caught their attention and turn to me. Smiles appeared which I reciprocate with a small smile.

"Athena!" He cheered as he runs up to me hugging me on my waist. I let out a shaky breath as a small smile form on my lips. I look up to see Nicola staring at us with a smile on her face. I might not know her or remember her for now, but I know she's a great woman and it seems like Eric really likes her.

"Hi Athena, had a good sleep?" Nicola smiled which I respond with a smile and a nod. She walks towards us and placed a soft kiss on my forehead.

"Where's Mam and Dad?"

"Sweetheart, your Dad's in his office while your Mam is in the studio room. Would you like to go there?"

"Yes please"

"I want to go too." Eric cheered as he pulls away from me making me look at him. He's such a bundle of joy.

"Alright mister calm down" Nicola giggles and it somehow made a smile. Eric took my hand and pulled me as we went off to the door near the garden that I've never been before. Nicola opens it and music filled my ears. We walked on and saw Mam in the booth singing. She has her eyes close and it seems like she was singing from her heart.

"That was so good Chezza" Nicola said to the mic in front of her making Mam's eyes open and was directed to me before a smile appeared on her lips. I gave her a small smile before looking away. I can't seem to look at her in the eyes. And somehow in that moment I felt that I needed to talk to her.

"Hi sweetheart" A touch on the cheek made me look up and saw her looking at me with that dimpled smile. "Had a good sleep?"she asked.

"C-can we talk?" It was barely a whisper but her face fall which I figured she heard it right. I look at her and she gave me a smile nodding her head.

"Nic can you-"

"Yea, got it."

"Thanks babe" Nicola smiled and whispered something in Eric's ear making him cheer before they ran out of the room leaving us two alone. I hope this would go well.

Author's P.O.V.
Cheryl's heart is beating out of her chest as she closed the door. She doesn't know why Athena suddenly wanted to talk and somehow she was nervous on what was going to happen. She tuens around and saw her daughter still standing in the middle of the room looking kinda lost so she walked towards her and guide her to the sofa before they sat down face to face.
