Chapter 15

She was on the top of the world. A huge weight has been lifted off her shoulders. She just found out that her daughter is still alive and she's been talking to her these past few days.

" Oh My God. Athena's your daughter." The red head whispered as her eyes scan through the words. Cheryl looked at her with tears in her eyes and managed a small smile.

"She's actually your f*cking daughter. Oh my god! These is happening." Lisa was freaking out as she stood up and gave Cheryl a hug making Simon smile at the sight.

"Wh- How?" Cheryl was unable to speak and she doesn't know why. Her voice wasn't working at the moment. So she just look at Simon sending him the message which he got it immediately.

"I've already told you the story Lisa. Jake took Athena away from Cheryl few weeks before he died in a car crash remember?"

"Oh yea. I forgot. But I'm just so happy for you and for Athena." She gave Cheryl one last tight hug before letting out a satisfied smile.

"H-How will I tell her? I-I don't know if she'll accept us." Its the first sentenced Cheryl had said for the longest timd and it just made Lisa frown.

"She will." Cheryl looks at Lisa with hopeful eyes making the red head smile as she look at the couple in front of her.

"I never told you about how is Athena like before any of this happen. All the foster parent and violence thing." She started and the couple were instantly intrigued about the topic especially Cheryl cause she haven't heard this side of Athena's story before and she's dying to know about it.

"Athena wasn't like this before. She was a cheerful and bubbly girl who always looks at things in a positive way. In the morning she would always go out to the garden and sing to flowers there and mostly spend her time by the white roses. She was easy to love. Maybe that's the reason why all the children at the shelter wants to be her friend." Cheryl smiled at this as she wiped her tears away.

"Every night we would talk about her day was. And there is a particular topic that wouldn't be lost during our conversation." She paused. " Her mother."

Cheryl's heart flutter upon hearing the statement and it made fireworks explode in her chest.

"She would always tell me how she thinks her mother looks like. That she was still hoping that she would take her. She told me she was never mad at her cause she believes that there's a good reason that made her mother give her up."

Cheryl tries to hide the hurt that she felt when she heard that Athena knew that she gave her up when the truth is she was stolen from her.

"That topic didn't stop. Even when she returned from the house of Arthur, she still tells me that every night. She's still hoping that someday she will see her real mother. Hoping she will see you, Cheryl." The couple exchanged looks as they let out a smile.

"And I'm just so glad that her dream is coming true. Her dream to see you. " Cheryl looks at her sleeping daughter thinking how lucky is she to have a daughter like Athena and from what she just heard from Lisa, she still thinks that she needs a thousand of apologys to give to her. And from this moment she never wants to let her go.

Athena woke up to a room full of white roses which made her let out a small smile. She was confuse on what was happening.

"Athena, you're awake. " Lisa whispered giving her a wide smile. Athena glanced around the room amd she feels like she was back at the garden.

"Good morning sweetheart. Oh and Cheryl left you this." Lisa placed a small box in front of her and a note on top of it.

Goodmorning my sweet angel. I will be back later but for the meantime. Here is a little something for you.

Athena smiled on the note. And its not a small smile, it was a proper smile.

She removed the lid of the box and saw a cupcake and it made her eyes lit up. Its been a while since she had one of these so she took it out. And her smile grew when she figured that it was her favorite. Red velvet cupcake.

Lisa watched the girl in front of her light up as she took her first bite. She was over the moon. It reminds her of the old Athena. The happy and positive one.

"Oh my god, its so good" The girl whispers making Lisa giggle. Athena looked at Lisa and smile making the red head melt.

"Where did the roses come from?"

"From Mr. and Mrs. Cowell sweetheart. " Athena smiled and sighed.

"Lisa?"

"What is it?"

"Why do they bother sending me these. Its not like I'm related to them or anything and besides I'm out of BGT so there's mo reason for them to be acting this way to me."

Oh if only you knew Lisa thought as she tales in the little girl's words.

"They care for you a lot don't they." Athena just smiled at her and took a bite off her cupcake.

"Uhm, Athena?"

"Hmm"

"Do you still think of your mother?" Lisa whispered making Athena look at her and sighed a smile starting to form on her lips.

"Always. I never stopped." She smiles which gave the red head some relief and an assurance that the talk that was going to happen between Cheryl and Athena will work out properly.

Its already afternoon and Cheryl was uneasy all day. She was nervous about the talk later. She was scared on how Athena would react if she founds out that she's her daughter. Its all she ever thinks about.

"Babe, Eric is sleepy" Cheryl looks up to her boys and saw her baby Eric rubbing his eyes already so she took him from Simon's arms and cradle him placing soft kisses on his head.

"What time are we going to the hospital?"

"Maybe six. I asked Lily to babysit Eric for a while." She whispered making Simon nod and lets out a smile as he sat beside his wife.

"You ready?"

"Honestly, I don't know. I just hope it will all turn right. I hope she would accept us"

"She will. Lisa said so."

"But Simon what if she stopped thinking about us due to what happened to her."

"Cheryl you got to stop thinking that okay. Its not your fault that she ended up in a shelter. She was taken away from you." Cheryl sighs.

"I'm sorry."

"Don't apologize sweetheart. I understand." Simon placed a comforting kiss on her cheek making Cheryl smile.

"Thank you for everything" Cheryl stated with the dimpled smile which made Simon smile as well. He just hopes everything will turn out how it was already planned in his mind. Cause he wanted his wife to feel complete happiness. It was in his vows to her. It was his promise
