Chapter 86

Simon and the kids walked upstairs to get ready for bed while Cheryl was left downstairs to fix everything up. Athena walked in her bedroom while Simon walked with Eric in his room putting him down the bed and tucking him in as a yawn escaped from his son's lips.

"Daddy, why is Athena sad?" Simon sighed at the question and looked at his son giving him a small smile.

"She's just going through something sweetie. Now go to sleep, you are obviously tired." He smirked and the boy smiled before hugging his stuffed bear beside him.

"Goodnight Daddy" Simon smiled and placed a kiss on the little boy's forehead and when he pulled away he saw that his eyes were closed and his breathing steadied making him smile.

"Goodnight little one" He whispered before he headed towards the door and turn off the lights leaving the night light on. He walks put of the room and closes the door behind him before he headed towards Athena's room to see that the girl is sat in the middle of the bed, already in her pajamas, staring at nothing.

"Athena" She gasp at the sudden voice as her head shot to door but then released a breath when he saw her father standing there.

"Sorry to scare you." He says as he sat on the bed. "Ready for bed?"

"I don't like sleeping." She whispered and it made a frown appear on Simon's face confuse on what is his daughter on about.

"Why is that?"

"I just don't like my dreams visiting me again. I'm really scared." She whispers looking away and staring at nothing. Simon sighed at his daughter's situation.

"Would you like to sleep with me and Mammy, then you wouldn't be scared." Athena slowly looks up to him and looks into his eyes figuring out if he's being serious.

"Its okay, Mam might not want me there" She gave him a smile that was barely there and it made Simon's brows knit together.

"You know that's not true. She might be kicking me out if she founds out you'd be sleeping in our room." Athena released a smile at the thought of it and it made Simon grin as Athena looked at him.

"So that's settled, come on up you get." Athena didn't argue anymore as Simon held her hands as he guides her out of bed before heading out of the room closing the door behind them.

"Hey, what's going on?" Cheryl says softly making the two turn around and saw Cheryl walking towards them with a confused look on her face. And this made Athena move back and slightly hid behind Simon's.

"Athena's sleeping in our room tonight." Cheryl looked at Athena and sighed before looking back at Simon.

"Really?" Simon nods as he raised his brows and it made a smile appeared on her face before looking at Athena.

"Bella, come here sweetie" She said and the next thing she knew is Athena holding onto her for dear life and it made Cheryl sighed in relief.

"I'm sorry Mammy, I walked out on you earlier." She pulled away but keep her arms around her and looked at Cheryl before letting out a breath. "Are you angry?"

"Oh baby, I could never be angry at you. I love you so much."She says placing a kiss on her cheek before taking her in her arms again and holding her tight. She looks up to Simon and saw a huge smile on his face which made Cheryl give him a dimpled smile.

"I love you too Mam" She hears Athena say before she pulls away and places a kiss on the girl's forehead. She then took Athena's hand before they headed towards their room.

"Go on, go to the bed and wait for us there.I'm just going to change. "Cheryl says as she walked to the ensuit while Simon grabbed the control on the drawers and turn on the TV.

"This will take your mind off your nightmares." Simon mutters as he lies next to her on the bed. Simon raised his brows as he looks at her daughter who was looking at him before he looks back at the TV. Athena's lips crack into a small smile as she turns to the TV. This small act is really appreciated by Athena and it was somehow making her feel better than these past few days.

Moments later, Cheryl appeared and got in the bed beside her daughter taking her in her arms and cuddling to her and Athena finds it comfortable. So comfortable that she was slowly drifting off to sleep.

Cheryl looks down in her arms when she notice the girl being quiet and saw that Athena was already sleeping and it made a smile appear on her face.

"Si" She whispered making Simon turn to her then look at Athena who was already asleep so he lowered the volume of the TV.

"Now that was fast." Simon says facing his girls and staring at them. Cheryl released a soft giggle befpre stroking her daughter's hair.

"She's tired. Let her rest. She really needs it." She whispers. Simon stared at his wife as she stares at their daughter and wonder how lucky he is to have her. He thinks this everynight, thinking of reasons what he's done for him to deserve her. She's so caring and a loving mother and the perfect wife. He couldn't ask for more.

"You know you are amazing right?" Cheryl looks up and rolls her eyes as a smirk appears on her face.

"I know, you tell us that every single night."

"I can't help it, because its the truth."Cheryl smiled and shook her head making Simon grin.

"So, when are you going to America for AGT?"

"Monday next week, I think that's the last auditions. What about you, when is the Cannes Film Festival?"

"Friday next week, But I need to fly to Paris on Sunday to recieve an award." Simon starts to think on what to do with the kids, now that their schedules doesn't match.

"What about, you take Athena with you to Paris on Sunday and I'll take Eric with me on Monday then after the auditions maybe the day after that we'll go straight to France to meet you there." It took seconds for Cheryl to take it in and after that a smile appear on her face and gave him a nod.

"That was well thought out. You're the best really" She lets out a soft giggle making Simon melt.

"I know." He says with a smirk making Cheryl rolls her eyes with the smug look on her husband's face.

"Okay, Mr. Cowell let's go to sleep now." Simon raised his brows and turn off the TV while Cheryl fixed her position in bed before turning her night lamp off.

"Goodnight darling" Simon leans forward to give Cheryl a kiss, making sure he doesn't wake up their daughter.

"Goodnight" Cheryl smiled before turning to her daughter and cuddling to her. Simon placed a kiss on his daughter's forehead before fixing his position on the bed and turn off his night lamp getting some sleep.

It was in the middle of the night when Cheryl heard squirms that woke her up then she felt Athena moving beside her as she twist and turn and it looks like she was having her nightmares again. So before it gets worse, Cheryl took Athena in her arms locking her in her arms and place soft kisses on her head.

"Sshh, just a bad dream. It'll be fine" She whispers this over and over again as she stroked her hair until her daughter went quiet and it seems that she has return to her sleep. It was a relief to Cheryl, she doesn't want Athena getting into a mood in the morning because of her nightmares again. She really needs a talk with Simon about this and probably get her some help. She wants her daughter back and she would do everything for that to happen.
