"We need to talk"

I stormed at Jerome, wanting him to disappear from my life forever. The problem was I drowned him here and now I need to deal with the King of Zombies. I'm not admitting it's the best choice I ever made, especially now.

Felicia, Julia and Karma stared at Jerome, when he sat next to me at our table and whispered to me. Since the day I went bowling with Jerome my roommate and her friend couldn't stop talking about The Mystery Guy. They would talk about him when I was and probably mostly when I wasn't around. They had different theories of who could be a man who calls me Cupcake. Felicia even stole my phone, when I was taking shower, to spy on me. She asked me who is "Mr. Jerk" on my contacts list. Things were getting off hands.

Now, it was true apocalypse.

"Go away" I hissed at him, point at my friends pointing at them quickly with my eyes. He realized what kind of influence the girls had on me. He smiled widely and I got goose pumps. He relaxed his muscles and got closer to me, putting his hand on my shoulder, slowly going down until his hand touched mine, which was folding a knife. Too bad it was plastic.

"Where would I go, if you're here, darling?"

Karma opened her mouth in shock. Julia sighed like a romantic dreamer she is. Felicia crossed her arms and made a boss face, which was clearly saying "I knew it". I looked towards them to explain Jerome's horrible sense of humor, but he stopped me by squeezing my hand and putting a little kiss on my cheek. I felt something weird when his warm lips touched my skin.

Karma cleared her throat, before she asked:

"So, when did this start?"

She was clearly angry, but I didn't understand why. I think she was disappointed. From all people we both know I'm the last person who would date someone like Jerome. I hated him for so many reasons and that's what Karma knew. What she didn't know what the fact that Jerome and I are-

"Well, I loved her since high school, but I claimed her mine just yesterday"

Felicia tried to kill her laugh, which I noticed she had a big trouble with that. If I wasn't the victim on this stupid Jerome's show I would probably join her, but I was so it was time to end this madness.

I got up, mad at Jerome and a little surprised that my friends bought his little lies. I shook off my hand from Jerome's and said:

"We are not dating! You know me, you know I would never get involve in a relationship with him."

Jerome also stood up, a successful smile on his face annoyed me even more.

"I see you're still embarrassed with our love, so I'll wait. But maybe you should read some old classic romances to get you motivated?" he winked and then left, walking away from the university's cafeteria.

I sat down and sighed, already tired. It was the middle of the day and Jerome was only one who could complete destroy it in just few minutes. He's a true tyrant with passion as his job.

"What was that?" said Karma, looking at the door behind her, from which Jerome disappeared.

I don't think you want to know.

It took me some time to realize where Jerome wanted to meet me. Because the girls would leave me alone until Felicia had to go to work and Karma was going with Julia to see new exhibitions in the museum, I didn't notice that Jerome left me a clue. Although, I knew sooner or later there will be a lot of awkward conversations that I will be not able to avoid.

Jerome didn't want anyone to know where we would meet and talk, so I hoped it was finally the time he explained everything. The Tigers. Quinn. The gun he owns. If he wanted our deal to work out I need to trust him and in order to do that, he can't keep any secrets from me. He could lie to his ex girlfriends, but not to me. I'm Evangeline Sullivan and if I want something, I get it, no matter how long it will take.
