Hi everyone! I know it's been a while since I updated. I don't have a lot of time now, during school year, as I have t work really hard and focus on my grades. During summer I also didn't updated a lot because I wanted to work on some of the characters and the plot itself. I hope my little "break" didn't ruin the story for my readers!

Anyway, enjoy this chapter! :D

Whatever they were looking for they couldn't find it. They left, leaving a huge mess behind them, which we saw after we got out fro the closet. I looked around brokenhearted, after I saw pieces of Star Wars spaceship models made of Lego, ripped pages from Quinn's favorite books like "Pretty Little Liars" or "Harry Potter" series. Everything seemed now even more depressing than before. If I wasn't in a slight shock I would probably break down into tears.

Jerome handled everything a little better than I did. He walked around, probably trying to figure out what they were looking for. While he was searching I sat down on a sofa and tried to put everything together in my head.

Quinn somehow was in danger because of the Tigers and found support in Jerome's zombies. Although, he didn't trust them enough, so he got a gun. Yes, that's what happened! Quinn is not a criminal. There were still missing pieces in my theory and I realized as deeper I tried to dig, deeper I'm getting myself in the same trouble as Quinn was. Even if I wanted to back off now I couldn't - it was too late.

I'm not sure how long I was sitting there, staring at the lego version of R2-D2, but finally Jerome came back to the living room, which I didn't notice he left. I raised my eyes at him, while he didn't make any eye contact with me - still searching for any clues, even though he looked probably everywhere already.

"Jerome" when I said his name I noticed my voice was a little shaky. "I found a gun in Quinn's jacket."

In the same jacket your friends wear - I added in my mind.

"Where?" he simply asked, looking at me, so I could show him the correct direction. I pointed at the bedroom, where we saw an open wardrobe, the same one we used to hide from Tigers. Without even thinking for a moment he went there and he quickly searched through every jacket in Quinn's wardrobe. I noticed how he slowed down when he felt something in one of them and a second later I saw a gun in his hands. He hold it like he knew how to use it. It didn't seem foreign to him to hold a dangerous weapon like that and yet the expression on his face was different. He looked like he never saw a gun before, like a little child confused with a new toy, although we all know that a weapon is not a toy.

"Jerome, what if they are going to kill him?" I felt tears on my face. He looked away from the gun to meet my eyes and I suddenly felt weak, worthless, helpless. I just simply wanted to have my friend back, I never knew he could be in such danger. It I knew I would have never go to England. I would have stayed with Quinn. Help him immediately, before it could be too late.

I heard Jerome sighing, as he hid the gun behind his own jacket and came back to me. He squat down in front of me, putting his hands on my knees calmly, but confidently.

"Okay, listen now, Cupcake. I don't want to sound like an asshole, but I would like you to shut your mouth. Things got more intense, as you noticed, and I don't need a little crying baby right now. So, here's what are we going to do." he looked straight into my eyes and I saw something dark in them. I never saw Jerome like that. For the first time, he didn't seem cocky or annoying, but intimidating. The look in his eyes reminded me how they always describe wolves while they hunt for their food. He was scary, but I wasn't afraid of him like I was of Tigers.
