Evangeline's P.O.V.

"I have good and bad news" Kile entered the apartment, clearly nervous. He hold his phone in one hand and a coffee from Starbucks in another. Didn't know Kile was a Starbucks girl.

We all looked towards him. He was reading something on his phone and moved his thumb the entire time.

"The good news are that I talked to Nathan and we can go see Quinn"

Earlier that day I learned that Nathan was some sort of leader of Tigers. He wasn't as "powerful" as Old Man, but he had his authority in the group. Kinda like Jerome in Phoenix.

"But...?" Zebra Boy came from the kitchen, eating pizza he order for breakfast.

Kile finally looked up from his phone and his eyes stopped on me. They all knew how important was Quinn's safety to me. I was glad to hear that Jerome called Kile to ask him for help. If there's anyone I know in Phoenix who could peacefully deal with Tigers, it was definitely Kile.

"But we will have to witness the punishment. Old Man agreed that the terms are fair. He also specifically wants Angel to come."

What? Old Man wants me to watch my best friend get hurt? Doesn't he know how important he is to me? Of course he does, which is why he wants me to come. But why?

"No" Jerome walked closer to me, but still kept the distance. "She's not coming"

"Well, she kinda has to. Old Man's orders." Kile moved his hand, which was holding the phone, in a persuasive movement. "Take that as the final test. If you won't have a mental breakdown, you will be free to go."

Free. I won't have to live with Jerome and Mike anymore. I can go back to Karma and fix our friendship. I can maybe even help out Quinn, without the Zombie King on my back. I can make everything go back to normal.

"Okay. Let's go." I was ready to grab my jacket, but Jerome's hand stopped me by holing my arm.

"Wow, slow down. Think about this."

I narrowed my eyes, when I looked at him. Yes, I was still upset and I didn't trust him. I didn't want him to touch me.

"Let me go, Walls. I'm going."

"No"

"Let me go!" I yelled, trying to brake free from his embrace. And he did. His emotionless face didn't scare me and the anger in my eyes didn't impress him. We were staring at each other, trying to win the dominance in this stupid, childish fight.

"I hate when you're like this" he broke the silence.

"Like what?"

He pressed his lips together and moved his eyes away from me. He grabbed his jacket with a Phoenix on it and gave it to me. I didn't want it. I throw it back at him, but he immediately forced me to take it into my hands.
