This not the end...

I tried not to fall asleep. Believe me, I really did. But Mr. Clarck's voice was like a lullaby, which didn't need any melody. Plus, he talked slowly, stopping from time to time to take a moment and think of his next sentence.

Again, why am I taking this class?

"Cupcake"

Ah, yes. Now I remember.

I looked at Jerome who was sitting next to me. He pointed at a screen of his laptop. Obviously, instead of taking notes, he was on facebook. But he always passed all his exams so I guess he wasn't worried about something simple like notes. Didn't change the fact that I was.

I smiled, seeing my best friend on a trip to Tokyo with his boyfriend. Even after all this time, it was still hard to believe Mike and Quinn (#Quike) were a thing. Although, it made sense. They worked perfectly together. They were THE couple on our campus.

Well, our old campus.

Like Jerome promised, I moved in with him and Zebra Boy, in a apartment only few minutes away from the campus. About four months ago, Quike decided to surprise us and Quinn also moved in. It was a good and a bad idea.

It was great to have my best friend near me for almost all day and night, but four people in a small apartment with only two bedrooms, one bathroom and kitchen combined with a living room... Let's just say there was no privacy at all.

Besides our bedrooms.

Quinn and Mike shared Zebra Boy's room, while Jerome and I cuddled either in his room or on a sofa in the living room. We often fell asleep there, while watching movies together. Movie Marathons on Mondays became our thing and made the worst day of the week the best day of the week.

"We should go there one day" Jerome whispered, while writing a comment under Quike's selfie with some cosplayer.

I only smiled in response. We wanted to do a lot of things. Go to the beach, travel to Asia, where we could visit my grandfather in India, find the oldest place in Europe, sign up for a baking competition and set the entire place on fire...

We had a lot of plans, but it was hard to leave the city, when Jerome had to race almost every week. He went back to racing pretty quickly after his recovery and since then, he has been very proud of his accomplishments.

He lost only few time for the past 10 months, but that didn't affect us anymore. Mike, Quinn and I also found jobs.

Mike became a barista at the club underneath The Joker Card. Quinn, with his kind heart to animals, became a worker at Pet Store and every weekend he tried to find homes for dogs and cats from shelters. Jerome and I even adopted one, under Quinn's incredible persuasion.

Bambi was a small pug who lost his home a month after Christmas. A family who bought him probably didn't realize what they were getting themselves into so they left him on the side of a highway on a snowy day.

Jerome fell in love with Bambi in the moment Quinn showed him to us at the shelter. We couldn't leave the place without him.

"Bambi is my spiritual brother, I can feel it!"

"Sure, Romeo. Whatever you say."

"I'm serious, Cupcake."

"Just take the damn pug and let's go"
