My human body looked exactly like I did as an angel. Tall, thin, brown hair, brown eyes and this slight 2-day-old beard.

I often was told I look good. Actually Cupid, me, is told to be the most beautiful creature that ever existed. I know that - not that I'd be vain, but come on. I know the truth.

The clothes which Aleisa handed me fit perfectly. It was a classy grey suit with a red bow tie.
I walked out of the room and looked at Aleisa. She was standing at the hallway with a small black thing in her hands and pressed her fingers lightly on it a few times. Once more I had no idea what this thing was. Technology.

I cleared my throat to catch her attention and smiled at her as she looked at me. She stared at me for a second. Then she held up the thing in her hand and pointed at her bag. Just a moment later she was fiddling around in it and mumbled "Ehm...I got a phone for you. Somewhere." She kept searching in her bag for something.

A phone?

Aleisa pulled out another of those things she was holding in her hand and held it to me. I took this so-called "phone" and Aleisa started walking down the hallway. I trotted behind her and she started telling me a lot about the way my life on earth will be.

She organized a flat for me in the middle of the city which is close to a park. She bought a Lamborghini for me - whatever this is. I got a job at an international fashion designer/model agency - my job wouldn't be to design anything or to model, I would be there to bring others their coffee, bring my bosses files and set up appointments.

Afterwards she explained to me how my phone works, but I didn't really see the point in using this thing to call anyone when I could also meet up with them and talk.
In case I would have any further questions anytime I could ask her.

Where should I start? There are thousands of questions. What is a Lamborghini? What was that flat black thing in my room? Why were wires fixed on my body? Do you know I am an angel?
That one is good. Maybe a bit different.

"Why do you help me?"

"That's my job. Five of us were sent to earth thousands of years ago to help angels who come to earth for a while, like you, and since I was always interested in meeting Cupid I took this job." She said softly and looked at me with a smile. Then she added "Plus I think some of these humans could need some of your magic."

I smiled at the thought of picking up my old job again. I always enjoyed the sight of someone falling in love. What I enjoyed even more was the sight of long-lasting love. When two people are together since more than 50 years and still behave like they would have just got to know each other.
It's the way they look at each other. This sparkle in their eyes and the way they smile.
I barely saw that since it isn't my job anymore to make people fall in love, because they can't find their soul mate. I am the one who made their soul mate. Without me they are loving without their heart. In my opinion they just accept each other but god doesn't understand that.

Sometimes I caught myself thinking about taking my bow, breaking all the rules and just make people fall in love again, but I don't want to end like Lucifer so I won't do that. Lucifer and I had been really good friends, by the way.

At least there I thought so. When I just got to earth I thought so. Now look at me. Now I'm holding my bow and arrow while lying on a roof and I'm ready to shoot - but there's still some time left till we reach that point of my story.
What was I saying? Ah right, ending like Lucifer...
