SHOOORT
Living like Larry~
Chapter 5
~
I only had a short time to change into something decent. I shift frantically through my closet looking for an outfit. I found a dark navy blue polka dot shirt, strapless Abalone Cove from Hollister. I slipped it on and pulled out some pants I wore slightly faded blue jeans. Slid them on and quickly ran to the bathroom. I straighten my 'big' brunette hair quickly and surprisingly evenly. I add a few curls at the ends. I run back to my closet looking for my shoes.
Converse.
Converse.
Converse.
Converse.
Booties!
I found black ankle booties with a zipper on the side. I slid them on and leaped to my night stand. There was a soft knock on the door.
"One second!" I called out. I grabbed my white feather earrings and shoved them in my ears. Poking myself 50 times. I put Cid's dog tags, which he gave me some time this week, around my neck and a white diamond confetti ring on my middle finger. I stopped at the door, took a breath, and sung it open.
"Expecting someone?" Cid smiled leaning on the door frame checking me out.
I groaned. "Cid!"
"Going on a date?"
"Yes." I said bluntly.
"You look booty-ful babe."
I rolled my eyes and pulled him in the room and shut the door. I turn to face him and he smiles shyly.
"I guess you aren't joining me and Sam. She's making up for the bail last time." He shrugged.
"Sorry...." I looked away not being able to bare his hurt baby blue eyes.
"It's all good. Make sure to get some tonight." He commented about to open the door when there was a knock. I grabbed Cid and pushed him in a closet. I closed it and ran to the door. Taking a breath, I sung it open. I smiled because this time, it was the person I was expecting.
"Hey." He spoke softly. His eyes traveled over my body. I blushed and felt suddenly insecure. He was still dressed in his dark navy blue suit.
We match!
"Hi." I smile.
"You look beautiful." He smiles softly and holds out his hand to me. I eagerly take it and we walk out.
We walk to the school's parking lot and walked a great distance. Since teachers have to park farther away. We made small conversation. I was too busy staring at our fingers intertwined together.
We went to this small diner further from campus that any student would want to drive to. So that's good. I'd hate to be noticed on a date with my Professor.
The diner was something you’d see out of an 80’s movie; the walls were red and white checkerboard, and rectangular shelf-like tables were attached to three of the four walls. White chairs were lined along the tables. Chris and I ordered a burger with large fries and coke.
As we waited for our orders, he moved behind me and wrapped his arms around my waist and tucked his face into the corner of my neck. I gasped, but I let myself lean onto him. His body felt rock hard and safe. I loved it.
“You smell like strawberries, love.” he inhaled
“Is that a compliment?” I asked dazed.
“Yes. I love strawberries.”
