Bonnie

Filming is over for the week and so is school, meaning I have the weekend to relax and study my script. Recently I've been doing more research on Cameron but all I can find are interviews from carpet events. I've watched almost all of them; it's like looking at a completely different person.
Today is my little sister's fourth birthday and mum agreed to take her to the soft play place. The only issue is that mum has to work today, emergency shift, so I have to take Lila out until she gets home.
"Bon, can we go now?" She asks in her adorable little voice.
I nod and smile, "Of course, Birthday Girl! Don't forget your badges!"
She grabs her badges and runs out to my car, "I sit in front!"
"Nope, you're 4, not 14." I grab her and put her in the car seat in the back.
Cameron: Director called an emergency filming. Sunday at 2:30.
I sigh. Maybe I don't have a free weekend.
"Drive, Bonnie, drive!" Lila yells at me and I start the car. Bless her, she hasn't had a real birthday since mum started her career.
It takes me about a half hour to get to this soft play place, after getting lost several times. I have to try and pull Lila back as I pay for our entrance.
"Come on! Hurry up!" She squeals with excitement and we run inside this weird dragon contraption.
Lila and I play together until she meets a little boy her age and they hang out whilst I grab a coffee. Sluggishly, I fall into a chair at a spare table and sip my coffee.
"Ah, I needed this." I say to myself. All of a sudden I see Lila pulling the little kid's hair, "No, Lila! That's bad!"
I manage to get her away from the boy and his mother smiles reassuringly at me.
"It's okay, honey. Being a mom can be hard sometimes." She tells me.
Awkwardly, I chuckle, "Oh, no, I'm not her mum. I'm her sister. It's probably just as difficult!"
The woman laughs, but her eyes look sad and lonely. I guess she looks familiar, in a way, despite the fact I've never seen her before.
"Well, I should get going. Need to keep this little blighter happy!" I take Lila by the hand and grin at the woman.
She picks up on my accent, smiles, and then walks away with her son.
"Bonnie, let's go play again! Race you to the ball pit!" My sister wriggles out of my grasp and stumbles off to the ball pit.
I sigh deeply and grab my coffee; it's going to be a long day.

Melanie

Work, work, work, and yet more work. We've been a family in California for less than two months and since we got here all I've been able to do is focus on my job.
Back when I was a teenager my parents pushed me to be just like them, to succeed in law and become a lawyer after university. It sucks, but it's helped me pay for Bonnie's acting classes and for us to move here for her to make it big. My parents hate me for that. They wanted Bonnie to be a lawyer too.
But when they see her on TV I hope they shit themselves, because my daughter is more successful than their's ever was.
"Mel, I hope you have your case prepared." My boss says as he passes me.
I put on a fake smile, "All ready for Monday!"
He walks away and I feel like pulling out my hair. I'm missing my daughter's 4th birthday for this stupid case.
Bon: I've been called in for an emergency filming on Sunday. No idea why, I'll see you later xx
I'm so proud of Bonnie; she's dreamed of an acting career like this since she was so little and it's finally happening. I just feel terrible about leaving Lila with her on the one day she has to relax.
Calm down, Melanie, you're already stressed out of your mind.
I decide it's time for my break, so I head to the break room and grab myself a flask of coffee. Tiredly I pull out my phone and reply to Bonnie, asking her to take good care of Lila and wish her a happy birthday. The coffee is pretty crap here, but I need the caffeine if I want to survive the rest of the day.
I sigh deeply and take a sip of the disgusting coffee; it's going to be a long day.
