It's been three months since I met Isabella, and I've been in love with her ever since. But, it's taken me this long to ask her out.
In the three months I've been waiting for the right moment, I've learnt from hanging out with her that Isabella loves video games. So today, instead of taking her out on some soppy dinner date, I invited her over to my place to play video games.
"First date, Cam!" My mom wiggles her eyebrows and grins, "I can't wait to meet the girl!"
I am so nervous about that. Yeah, my parents aren't the greatest for first impressions. Luckily I hid the baby pictures.
I laugh and fix my hair, "Just please do not embarrass me. I really like Isabella so I don't want to mess this up."
"Honey, it's okay. I understand. I was 13 once, believe it or not." She pinches my cheek and then the doorbell rings.
Frantically, I run to the door and smile when I see Isabella standing in the doorway. She looks beautiful in her white skirt and pastel pink blouse.
"Come in," I say, gawking over her perfectness, "You look gorgeous."
She giggle and hugs me, "Thank you so much! You look pretty handsome yourself."
I lead her into the kitchen where my mom and sister are, "Isabella, this is my mom Libby and my sister Maya."
"It's great to meet you!" She says, hugging them both.
She even smells great, I think to myself.
Snap out of it, Cameron. It's getting weird.
"So, you wanna go play Xbox?" I ask.
Her face lights up, "Totally! I call player one!" She runs upstairs with me and I smirk.
She's definitely a keeper.
