The next couple of days passed by quickly. It was the same routine everyday, meet Emily and Bella in the morning, then go to class. Actually it was becoming sort of Bella and I now. Emily was too caught up with her giggly friends and extracurricular activities. Personally, I thought Emily was nice, but if those giggly friends were always going to be around her, I couldn’t handle it.

Bella and I’s conversations usually revolved around the Cullens. To the both of us something drew us to them. I knew what it was, it was Jasper and Edward. They were like our little celebrity crushes, although we definitely didn’t throw ourselves at them. We were very reserved and watched them. Stalker like.

On the way out from school, Bella admitted that Edward had started talking to her in Biology and wasn’t scary like that one day.

“It’s the weirdest thing, he goes from hating me, to being polite. It’s bizarre.”

I pulled my coat closer to me due to the cold rain, while listening to her. Lucky. It was a lot better than where Jasper and I were at. AH RIDE! I FORGOT!

“Bella, Bella, Bella! Do you mind giving me a ride home? Janet can’t pick me up today.”

“Sure,” she said, “climb in.”

“Good Lord, Bella. Where did your dad even manage to find this car, surely it isn’t safe to be driven, it should be retired to a junk yard or something”

“Shut up, my truck is fine. Give it the respect it deserves!” was the reply I got. I smiled.

Her truck came to life with it’s roaring engine, when she cranked the heater up. Yeah, sure it’s safe. It’s probably going to catch on fire. Bella, began to check around her before pulling out, I began humming a tune, then I felt myself go flat against the seat, and then forward almost hitting the dashboard, looking around noticing that Bella almost hit a little Toyota.

“Christ Bella! Are you trying to kill me?!” I yelled.

“Sorry.” she mumbled.

Then I saw what had got her riled up. Edward Cullen was three cars down, laughing. What an idiot, he was the reason I almost got killed.

“Hmph… good thing you stopped before hitting that Toyota… you’d probably crush it to pieces and the people in it if you didn’t.”

“Probably.” she said, and then she pulled out of the parking lot.

The ride home was silent, Bella was too busy contemplating what just happened to be talking. So I stared out the window, every once in awhile giving Bella directions to my house. She pulled into my driveway and I got back out into the cold rain.

“See you later, don’t let Edward Cullen get to you.” I said.

“I’ll try not to.” she said.

I slammed the door to make sure it stayed and went walking towards the front door as Bella pulled out of the driveway.

I had the house to myself, Dad was working late, Janet was at some parents thing, and Chris was at a friend’s house. I was left to fend for myself. I cooked myself a gourmet meal of macaroni and cheese, and went to watch TV, for the first time getting to choose what I wanted to watch. I settled on some travel show, watching people walk on sandy, white beaches. Looking out the window at the weather that we had at the moment. The sandy beaches sounded good now. I put my bowl into the sink and walked into the computer room to go check my e-mail. I swirled around in the chair while waiting for the page to load, causing myself to become dizzy. I waited until the room stopped tilting back and forth and checked my e-mail. There was one from mom:
