It was two o'clock and I couldn't fall asleep

It was two o'clock and I couldn't fall asleep. I stared restlessly into the darkness, my mind thinking about a million things.

For one, how was I suppose to get out of here? This castle was like a giant maze. There were too many rooms and too many halls to keep track of. I'd be lucky to even make it downstairs let alone all the way back home.

And another thing, what on earth were my parents doing? Did they even care at all? I still couldn't believe they kept this from me for so long. They had six years to tell me and they chose not to.

I clutched the blanket tighter in my hands.

I missed my friends. I missed Tasha's boldness and Milla's sarcasm. I missed laughing at terrible horror movies and our Friday night sleepovers.

My old life was gone. Who knew if I'd ever return.

.•*•.

I woke up alone. I was actually relieved Ares wasn't here.

He kind of scared me.

There was a knock at the door and I got up to answer it. I was surprised to see a young girl almost the same age as me. She was thin with very pale skin and carrying a pile of clothes in her small hands. Her wavy hair was in a braid.

She had the face of an angel.

"Good morning, Luna," She greeted in an in unbelievably sweet voice. Why did everyone here have to be so beautiful? I felt plain compared to them.

"Hello. . ." I said hesitantly. "Are you here for Ares?"

"I'm Holly, your personal servant. I brought you your clothes." She said and put them on the nightstand.

"Thanks," I said, "But I don't need a servant. I'm not royalty or anything."

"If wolves had royalty, you would be the Queen. And I am happy to serve you, Luna." Holly smiled at me and I felt a little guilty. I didn't want anyone to serve me, I was just a normal girl.

She brought it in a tray of fruits and cheeses from the hallway, along with a pitcher of water, juice and tea. After she changed the sheets on the bed and made sure everything looked flawless. I sat back on the bed and looked outside.

"I'll be going then," Holly bowed and headed for the door.

"Wait!" I held up a hand to stop her and she looked at me timidly.

"Yes? Do you require anything else?"

"Could you stay for a little longer?"
