"I now present Alexandria Petra Mason Trueblood, your Luna, your Queen!" Soren bellowed among the cheers as I stared out into the sea of werewolves. All of them clapped and some even whistled.
Soren placed a crown made of flowers onto my head and placed a gold crown onto Ares' head. I was now fully inducted into the pack, with my werewolf by my side.
I couldn't help but smile, I couldn't hide how happy I was. This was something I'd always wanted—to finally take my place in the pack and find a home where I belonged.
Everyone was watching me but I wasn't nervous at all. I was with people that were now my family.
My eyes scanned the crowd and I saw Claire wink at me and Iris clap loudly, a small smile on her face. She was standing next to her mate, Dallas, who I finally convinced to come. He agreed after a lot of begging on my part. Dallas had a sour expression on his face, probably still upset about his brother's capture.
I stole a glance at Ares, who was looking at me like I was the only person in the world. I returned the same look and bit my lip, feeling butterflies in my stomach. His eyes glowed amber.
My long, white gown flew behind me with the wind while Ares and I clasped hands.
Ares told me that the induction ceremony was one of the most important days in a werewolf's life. It was when the whole pack accepted the new member as one of their own.
He also said that he was standing here with me not only as an Alpha, but as a mate. When mates were presented to the pack as one couple, it was like marriage.
So I was now married to Ares.
I was living in a dream.
"I present to you Alpha Ares and Luna Alexandria!" Soren yelled loudly. Ares and I faced each other and I stared into his eyes.
He took my breath away. Just like when I first met him.
The way his hand gave me all the warmth I needed, the way he would fall asleep beside me and the way he said my name with that voice of his and made my knees go weak.
Ares wrapped his strong arms around my waist and I clasped my hands around his neck. Our lips met and I could tell he was trying to hold back. It was hard to resist his touch.
We pulled back at the same time, his lips lingering on mine, and people started throwing flowers, which was a tradition to celebrate a new member.
I smiled at my pack. I was a Queen now. And I would fight for my people.
Never in my life would I have imagined myself here. I would have never predicted that I would be a Queen to werewolves and to be mates with my perfect match. Ares was my other half, I knew that when we were separated and all I wanted was him. I would walk a million miles just to see him.
After my induction ceremony, Ares grabbed my hand and led me away from the festival.
Spring had finally arrived and the pack was celebrating the return of warm weather as well as the return of their Luna. The frost had melted and the storm was over. Clear, sunny skies for the future.
Ares turned sharply around the corner into an empty hallway and pushed me against a wall.
He pressed his lips against mine once again and I closed my eyes, relishing the feeling of his lips against mine.
He used his tongue to open my mouth and I gasped, not expecting so much passion. This kiss was more desperate and more impatient. Ares came closer so that our bodies were touching.
I broke away, panting.
"Do you know what day it is today?" He asked softly into my ear.
"No." I whispered, unable to think coherent thoughts.
"It's the anniversary of when I first met you." He leaned back to look into my eyes.
It was then that I saw Ares first smile. A big, genuine smile. He should smile more often, he's even more beautiful.
First love, last love.
"You waited for me long enough, you don't have to wait anymore." I whispered and ran my fingers over his cheek. He closed his eyes, reveling in my touch.
I thanked fate that Ares and I had met. Even if Ares broke into my house and kidnapped me from my old life, because none of this would have happened.
"I love you." Ares murmured and my heart stuttered.
"I love you, too," Instead of wiping my tears, I let them run down my cheeks.
"Why are you crying?"
"I'm just so happy." I couldn't even talk, I was a mess.
"Well, I'll keep saying it, so much that you'll get tired of me." He grinned and kissed my lips once more. I never knew he could be so tender.
"I love you."
I would remember this for the rest of my life. I would remember the ones who had tried to keep secrets from me and the ones who had died at my hands.
There were still many things that weren't over but I would deal with that later. All I wanted was to live in the present. My life wasn't ending, it was only now beginning.
A new chapter.
My name is Alexandria Trueblood. You can call me a friend, daughter, enemy, mate, hunter, human, lover, luna.

Werewolf"Who was your first kiss?" Ares asked very seriously and my face started reddening. "I. . . haven't been kissed. Yet." I looked away as I didn't have the courage to meet his eyes and admit this. "Why not?" Why was he asking me this? "You obviously k...
