"Hey, July!"

I turned around quite quickly as I heard someone call my name from down the hall somewhere.

And none other than Luke Hemmings came jogging through the crowded hallway and towards me.

"Oh Luke, hey." I tried to act really smooth and unbothered but I was still trying to take in how someone so hot could be so shy and not see it.

I was also a bit uneasy about him seeing me in Calum's sweatshirt. I didn't have a change of clothes at his house and we were already running late so I put my jeans back on and kept the sweatshirt. Calum seemed to be fine with it, and luckily it was cold out.

As I was saying, it was kinda weird having Luke see me in the article of clothing, seeing as though it did not belong to me. This kinda thing happens with relationships and boyfriends and girlfriends and that was definitely not the case here.

"How you doing?" He asked sweetly as he leaned up against the side of the lockers.

Considering I was talking to you pretty damn good.

"I'm doing okay for a Wednesday morning, how bout you?" I asked.

"Great now that I'm talking to you," he immediately covered his mouth with his hand, "no I didn't mean to say that oh god, I meant that like, you're just really cool and I just uh-"

I cut off his adorable rambling and assured him it was fine. I understood what he was saying.

"Aren't you excited for health?" he asked, nudging my shoulder as we walked to the classroom together.

"Oh definitely," I nodded sarcastically, "everyone's gotta love those lectures."

"Yeah, she sucks."

I laughed as we turned the corner toward the room which was located in a nook at the end of the hall.

"Alright class there are five minutes left of the block, I'll let you guys socialize." The teacher said as she went to sit at her desk, taking out a really thick novel from a drawer.

I closed up my notebooks, stuffing them in my backpack and throwing my pencil in there as well.

I turned to Luke who was twirling his pen in his fingers, licking his lips almost nervously.

"You alright?"

He simply nodded his head.

I shrugged lightly to myself as I pulled out my phone.

Before I could do anything though, Luke interrupted my thoughts again.

"Are you doing anything Friday?"

I gazed up from the small device in my hands and was met with the lanky boy in front of me awaiting my answer.

Friday was the day Cal and I were going to see Mission Impossible.

We could always reschedule right? I mean, I see him everyday whether he's at my house or I'm at his house.

It'll be fine.

"Nope, not at all. Why?"

"I was just, you seem cool and I would like to get to know you better. Seeing as though you're the only one I talk to here," He ran a hand through his hair, messing it up even more, "just a friendly thing."
