She needs love too

Chapter 5

      I woke up amd looked at the time. It read 8:45 pm. I got up and walked out my room and went in the kitchen where my mom was sharing out the food.

"You hungry, you want your dinner now" I looked at her and shook my head

"She shared out Vince plate first and gave it to him, he was at the dining table. She gave me my food and looked at me

"The Hymes are coming over for dinner. They wanted to meet you so we all can get acquainted." I looked at her with displeasure and then sighed

"Ok"  I walked to the dining table and sat down next to Vince
"Hey TT, how was your first day?" Kill me now.

"It was fine, met a couple of people"as soon as I said that I heard the door bell ring. My mother went to get the door and greeted them at the door. They both walked in and smoke at me

"Hi, Tiana . I am Joel and this is Mary. It's nice to finally meet you" I got up and shook their hands

"It's nice to meet you too" they went in for a hug and I stood there feeling very awkward

"I hope Malachi has been a great host" I looked at him and then at them

"Yea he was great" I sat back down and finished eating. They all talked for hours. I can't lie they seem like some nice people. I got up to take my plate and theirs to the kitchen. When I finished putting it in the sink and I turned around to see Malachi.

"Look im sorry." I looked at him dumbfounded

"For?"

"You know exactly what for" Thats all he said and the left me standing there. I shook it off and washed my plate and told everyone goodnight and went into my room. I took out my Ipad and started watching Netflix and then I fell asleep.

         The week went by fast and I started enjoying going to school. Alicia, Tracey, Kiara, Andre, and Jovoughn were cool. It was Saturday and everybody left the house and i was there by myself. I knew my mom got off of work at 7:00 so she wouldnt be here until 7:30 ish. And Vince always came back home like around 8 or 9. They left a note that said  Malachi went to play ball if I wanted to hang out with him. As if i would ever. I got up and took a shower and put on a long t-shirt. I went in the kitchen and made breakfast. Then I went into the living room and turned on the t.v. Few hours later I heard the door opening and it was Malachi.

"If I didn't know any better I would say you lived here" he laughed and went to the kitchen. He came back with a water bottle

"Vince has a better T.v and a better game station. Before you or your mother came here, this is where I would come and hang out for the day while everyone was out" he sat down and stared at the t.v. I rolled my eyes and got up to head to my room when he stopped me

"You could stay" He went in the bathroom and I heard water running. Did he just say I could stay, like he lived here? I calmed down when I remembered what he said. He basically is the son Vince never had. I sat back down and continued to watching Charmed. A few minutes later he came out with only his basketball shorts on and his sweaty shirt over his shoulders. I didnt mind because I wasnt attracted to him or anything so. He sat back down in the chair then turned to me

"You know how to play, Call of duty" I shook my head no and he took the controller up and handed me one. He turned on the game system and sat back down.

"Ok ima teach you" He started telling me the controlls and everything and I learned pretty fast so we both started to play. We started laughing and he started telling jokes and then Mom and Vince came home and caught us two laughing and playing the game. I could see my mom Happy and she really wanted me to be happy. I have to do this for her, I keep telling myself. I mean it wasnt that bad playing with him it was actually kind of fun.......
