Chapter 4

"Tiana wake your ass up its time for school" That's all I heard and then my room door slam shut. I got up knowing that today was going to be the worst day of my life. I did my daily routine and put on my clothes. I went into the kitchen to grab something to eat but when I walked in I saw Malachi talking to Vince,  so I turned right back around and waited in the living room.

"You don't want nothing before we go?" Malachi asked before grabbing his bag

"No" I grabbed mine and headed outside and put my headphones in my ears and blast the music. He walked next to me, but I just wanted silence between us. I followed him Five blocks down and the he stopped infront of the school to talk to his friends.

"Wassup Malachi"

"Whats good, Jay" The boy looked at me then looked at Malachi

"Who is this?" Jay asked smiling at me

"This is Vince Girlfriends daughter Tiana, Tiana this is Jay" I gave him a slight smile then looked away.

"Do you need help to find your classes? I could show you around" Jay said pulling me out of my daze

"Umm, no Im fine" I said while walking into the building. I heard them started laughing but I didnt know why. I assumed it was me. I walked faster to find the main office so I could get my schedule. I started walking around, and I got alot of stares. I finally found the main office, I went inside and gave them my name so I could get my schedule. When I got it I saw that I would have classes with juniors which is weird because I am a sophomore but I was cool with that. I had to find my Homeroom, so I walked around until I saw the room door number. I finnaly found it a few minutes after the first bell rang. I walked in and the teacher looked at me as well as the students.

"You must be the new kid...umm, Tiana Morris" I nod my head and he pointed to were my seat was. I sat down next to these two girls and they started smiling and saying hi. The bell finally rung, so I packed my books up and left. The two girls I was sitting next to came up to me and introduce themselves.

"Hi, my name is Alicia and this is Tracey"

"Hi"

"Do you need help getting to your next class" I shook my head and they helped me. We all didnt have the same schedule but we ended up talking throughout the whole day. Lunch time came and we all sat together and a couple more people came. Two boys and one girl.

"Hey guys, this is Tiana" Tracey said

"Tiana this is Jovoughn, Andre, and Kiara"They all waved and said Hi. I smiled and waved back. I could tell Andre and Kiara was in a relationship by the way they acted. I look around and I could see Malachi and Jay talking to these two girls, and guess what complexion they were....Lightskin. I really dont have a problem with what he said but it just really got me really hating the way I look even more. Jay caught me looking at him and he gave me a smile, I quickly look away like I didnt even notice him.

"Tiana, dont even look at Jay, everybody knows he's the biggest thot in the 11th grade" Alicia said and everybody started laughing

"You mean the bigest thot in the whole school"Kiara hissed, I could see she didnt rwally like him that much.

"No, it wasn't like that I was looking at my neighbor"

"Girl that is even worse, you making lust full eyes at your neighbor" Tracey said nudging me and I started to laugh

"Malachi hymes, is your neighbor?" Jovoughn asked

"Yea, my mom is dating his father's best friend"

"Oh must be hard"Andre said

"Why do you say that" Alicia punched him and then he went quiet. Tracey and Alcia looked at all three of them suspiciously and I got up amd told them I had to use the bathroom. I could hear Kiara asking Andre why he had to open his big mouth. I went into the bathroom after it took me five minutes to use it and wash my face. Now I was over thinking what Andre said. I always do this. I just want this day to hurry up and be over.

Later that day...

After school I quickly rushed home. As soon as i got inside I took my shower and went in my bed. I heard the room door open and I looked and saw my mother

"Malachi is at the door for you" I looked at her with a confused look. I got up and went to the door and looked at him

"What do yoy want?"I asked sitting up in my bed

"I was just wondering how come you didn't wait for me after school"

"I wanted to be alone"

"Oh, make sure you say that to my dad and Vince when they ask, cause I don't want to hear their mouth for you wanting to be alone" I looked at him and Rolled my eyes

"Ok is that it" he shook his head and went for the door then stopped and turn around"

"Whats up with you, we was on good terms yesterday and then now you want to have an attitude"

"I heard your conversation, talking about how you dont like darkskins, so why are you entertaning one if you don't like them"

"Look sorry, I wasn't specifically talking about you, and I don't mean all darkskins, not all of them are bad" This is what I was hoping he would say.

"Oh." Thats all he said and then left. I went back to my room and fell asleep.
