Flashback — Years Ago, Celestial Realm

Sunlight shimmered through the golden clouds that surrounded the Celestial Palace. The divine gardens glowed softly with the hum of life — trees with jade leaves, flowers that shone like stars, and birds that sang in perfect harmony. In the center of it all stood Y/N, kneeling gracefully as she fed her pet phoenix from a crystal bowl. The radiant creature nuzzled against her arm, feathers glowing in a gentle flame. Her laughter — serene, warm, divine — echoed like a hymn across the garden.

From behind her, Nezha, the Lotus Prince, approached in his golden armor, his crimson ribbon floating lazily behind him. He watched her in quiet adoration for a moment before clearing his throat. "You're spoiling that bird," he said, crossing his arms with a small smirk. "It's going to be too fat to fly one day."

Y/N chuckled softly without turning to him. "Then I'll carry her myself. She deserves to be spoiled."

Nezha smiled faintly, but the expression quickly fell as he sighed and looked toward the distant horizon where the earth and heavens met. "The Jade Emperor is furious again," he muttered. "Sun Wukong and his so-called brotherhood caused another uproar — they defied another Celestial decree."

Y/N tilted her head slightly, running her fingers through the phoenix's feathers. "The Monkey King again, hm?" she murmured, her voice soft, thoughtful. "I think it's fine what they're doing..." she muttered under her breath, but Nezha didn't catch it.

"What was that?" he asked, raising a brow.

She quickly smiled, shaking her head. "I said, yes — they're causing too much trouble. But don't worry," she said, setting the bowl aside and rising gracefully to her feet, her long robes trailing like starlight. "The Celestial Realm can handle them. There's no need for you to get upset."

Nezha watched her closely. Her smile was kind, but there was a glimmer in her eyes — a softness, a sense of compassion for the very rebels she was meant to condemn. He didn't understand it, but he didn't question her further. Instead, he smiled faintly back, the affection in his chest blooming quietly. "You always see the good in everyone," he said softly. "Even those who defy Heaven itself."

Y/N laughed lightly. "Someone has to."

He didn't tell her then, but that was when his admiration began to turn into something deeper — something he would never be able to let go of.

Back to the Present — The Sky Splits with Fire

Lightning carved through the clouds as Monkey King shot upward on his cloud, the Rings of Samadhi glowing faintly in his grasp. The heat from the flames reflected in his golden eyes as he turned sharply, his tail whipping behind him.

"Sorry, Lotus Boy," Wukong called out over the roaring wind, "but I've got work to do!"

"You're not getting away this time!" Nezha's voice thundered from behind him.

The Lotus Prince blazed through the air, his Fire Rings propelling him forward in streaks of burning light. His Red Armillary Sash cracked through the sky like a whip as he hurled his Flaming Spear, the weapon spinning with divine precision. Wukong twisted his body midair, narrowly avoiding the deadly strike — the spear barely grazed his cheek, leaving a faint, glowing scar.

Wukong clicked his tongue, wiping the blood from his face. "Still as fast as ever," he said, flashing a grin. "But you'll have to do better than that, flower boy!"

"Don't you dare mock me, Wukong!" Nezha roared, his Fire Rings flaring brighter. "You're nothing but a parasite who feeds on chaos!"

The battle intensified — flame against fury, divinity against rebellion. Wukong's golden aura clashed against Nezha's inferno, the shockwaves splitting the clouds apart. Each movement was a dance of centuries-old rivalry — Wukong's agility meeting Nezha's precision, the echo of their blows ringing across the heavens.

"Always so dramatic," Wukong said between blows, blocking Nezha's spear with his forearm since his staff wasn't with him. "You've got enough fire for the both of us, you know that?"

Nezha's eyes blazed. "You ruined everything between us!" he shouted, slamming his foot into Wukong's chest and sending him hurtling backward through the air. "Y/N was happy in the Celestial Realm! She was pure! Graceful! And then you came along—"

Wukong managed to flip midair, landing hard against the side of a floating mountain, the impact shaking the clouds. "What are you—?"

Nezha's spear pointed straight at him, trembling with fury. "You took her affection from me!" His voice cracked as flames licked the air around him. "You tainted her spirit — filled her head with defiance and pride! And now she's fallen because of you!"
_______☽

Wukong's eyes widened slightly, confusion breaking through his usual confidence. "Wait, wait, hold on—affection?!" He blinked, his tail flicking nervously. "Whoa, whoa, whoa, you've got it all wrong! She doesn't love me, and I don't love her! She's like—like a sister to me, okay?!"

"Liar!" Nezha roared, his voice echoing across the heavens.

Before Wukong could say another word, Nezha's sash lashed forward, wrapping around his throat. The Monkey King's eyes widened as the fiery fabric tightened, burning against his skin. He clawed at it, gasping for breath, while Nezha's face contorted in pain and rage.
