The morning sun hung high in the sky, its golden rays warming the stone platform atop Flower Fruit Mountain. Y/N stretched her arms high above her head, feeling the pull of her muscles. She rolled her shoulders, readying herself for the intense session ahead. It had been far too long since she had tested her combat skills, and she was determined to reclaim her former prowess.
Across from her, Wukong stood with his staff casually resting against his shoulder, a smirk tugging at the corners of his mouth. His tail swayed lazily behind him, but his sharp eyes betrayed the excitement bubbling beneath his playful demeanor.
"Ready, Graceful One?" he teased, emphasizing the nickname with a cheeky grin.
Y/N cracked her knuckles and narrowed her eyes. "Always. Try not to hold back, Monkey."
"Wouldn't dream of it," he shot back, spinning his staff in a blur of gold before planting it firmly in the ground.
With a flick of his tail, the battle began.

Wukong lunged first, his staff extending at lightning speed, aiming for her midsection. Y/N sidestepped gracefully, spinning on her heel to dodge the blow and countering with a powerful kick aimed at his side. He blocked it with the flat of his staff, but the force sent him skidding back a few feet.
"Not bad," he remarked, planting his feet firmly. "You've still got it."
"I've got more than that," she retorted, rushing him with a flurry of punches and kicks.
The two moved like a storm, their movements too fast for an ordinary eye to follow. Wukong's staff twirled and struck with pinpoint precision, each blow aimed to unbalance or disarm her. Y/N weaved around his attacks, her movements fluid and precise. She danced around his strikes, countering with swift, calculated blows of her own.
The ground beneath them cracked and trembled as their battle escalated. Y/N leapt into the air, twisting her body mid-flight to deliver a powerful kick aimed at Wukong's head. He ducked at the last second and retaliated with an upward swing of his staff, narrowly missing her as she flipped backward to avoid the strike.
"You're faster than I remember!" he called out, his grin widening.
"And you're slower than I expected!" she shot back, landing with catlike grace.
Wukong laughed, his tail flicking with amusement. "We'll see about that!"
For three hours, they battled relentlessly. Wukong pushed her to her limits, testing her endurance, speed, and strength. Despite the intensity, Y/N didn't falter. Her movements grew sharper, her strikes more powerful. Sweat beaded on her brow, but she refused to let exhaustion claim her.
Finally, she saw an opening. With a fierce determination, she lunged forward and landed a clean punch squarely on Wukong's face.
The force of the blow sent him flying backward, tumbling through the air.

Before Wukong could recover, a voice rang out across the mountaintop.
"Monkey King!"
Y/N turned, startled by the sudden shout, just as Wukong collided with the source of the voice. Both figures went down in a heap, Wukong groaning as he rolled off the unlucky intruder.
"Oops," Y/N muttered, brushing a stray lock of hair from her face.
Wukong rubbed his face and quickly stood, his tail snaking around the person and lifting them to their feet. "You okay, kid?"
The young man—barely more than a boy—looked dazed for a moment before shaking it off. His eyes widened as they landed on Y/N, and his expression shifted from confusion to awe.
"Is this... Is this really her?" he whispered, his voice trembling with excitement.
Wukong's tail gently dropped him to the ground as he grinned. "MK, meet Y/N. Y/N, meet my student, MK."
Y/N blinked, her gaze shifting between Wukong and the boy. "This little guy is your student?"
MK's jaw dropped. "Wait, you're the Celestial Grace?" he practically shouted, his voice filled with awe. "The one with the legendary powers who fought alongside the gods? The one who faced Nezha and won? And—"
"Shh!" Y/N quickly pressed a finger to his lips, her cheeks tinged with embarrassment. "Quiet, kid."
MK's eyes sparkled as he stared up at her, starstruck. "I've read so much about you! Your adventures! Your battles! Your—"
"Enough," Y/N interrupted, holding up a hand. She glanced at Wukong, who was scratching the back of his head and avoiding her gaze. She let out a heavy sigh, shaking her head in disbelief.
"How does he know so much about me?" she asked, gesturing toward MK.
Wukong laughed nervously. "Well, uh, you're kind of a legend, you know? Stories get around..."
MK nodded enthusiastically. "You're amazing! I mean, I always thought Monkey King was cool, but you? You're on a whole other level!"
Y/N knelt down and gently patted MK on the head. "You've got a lot of energy, kid," she said with a soft smile. Then, glancing at Wukong, she added, "But you've got a pretty dumb master."
"Hey!" Wukong protested, his tail swishing indignantly.
MK tilted his head, clearly confused. "Wait, what do you mean?"
Y/N chuckled softly and stood, ruffling MK's hair. "You'll figure it out soon enough," she said, her smile turning mischievous.
Wukong crossed his arms, pouting playfully. "You're supposed to back me up, not roast me in front of my student!"
Y/N smirked, crossing her own arms. "I'm just being honest."
MK watched the two of them banter, his admiration for both growing with every passing moment. Despite his confusion, he couldn't help but think that this was the coolest day of his life.
