It's been a week. Regina's still in the hospital. She's currently in a coma. This is all your fault Emma. If you hadn't been a stupid bitch, she wouldn't have tried to kill herself. Now she might die because all you care about is your stupid fucking career. She'll never want to see you again. I don't fucking blame her. You're a- "Doctor Whale to room 239. Emergency." My head snapped up and I stood up. "What's going on?!" I asked. "S-she's waking up." Belle said and came out of the room. "I have to be in there. I have to." I said and ran to the door. I opened it and Dr. Whale looked up at me. "She'll wake up soon. I would suggest someone staying in here." He said. I nodded. "And only one at a time after she wakes up. Don't want to overwhelm her." He said. I nodded and he left the room. Regina's breathing is more ragged now. I stared at her body and felt like a monster. You put her in here. This is your fault. You should be the one that almost died. Not her. You're such a bitch. You shouldn't even be in here. She won't want to see you. She has a bruise and bad cut on her forehead. Then, there are some small cuts scattered around her face, some minor cuts and bruises on her neck. Then, her left arm is scattered with deep cuts and large bruises. Everything's healing though. She's on oxygen and has an IV in her right arm, I'm guessing giving her her pain meds. I sat down in the recliner beside her bed and grabbed her left hand. I rubbed the back of it with my thumb and sighed. "Hey b- Regina. I'm so sorry. I was such a dick. I love you so much and I shouldn't have accepted the tour. I love you so so much and it's my fault you're in here. I just.. I feel awful. You're so much more important than any performance. You're more important to me than anything, honestly. I just.. I'm so sorry." I said as tears fell from my eyes. Then, her hand twitched. I looked up and her eyes fluttered open. "Regina." I said. "You're Emma Swan." She said. My breathing hitched. "Y-yeah.." I said. "I never thought I'd meet you! B-but.. Why am I in the hospital? And why are you crying?" She asked and squeezed my hand. "You don't remember us." I whispered. "Us? No.. Sorry..." She said. I dropped her hand and left the room. I felt my tears stream from my eyes as I slid down the wall and pulled my knees to my chest. Ruby, Belle, Cara and Mary Margret all ran over. "Emma, what happened?" Mary Margret asked and crouched down in front of me. "She doesn't remember." I sobbed. "What doesn't she remember?" Belle asked. I shook my head and Ruby walked in her room. After a few minutes, she came back out. They each took turns and went in. "She remembered all of us.." Cara said. I closed my eyes and felt awful. "So, she remembers everything except ever having a relationship with me and the reason she's here." I sobbed out. Dr. Whale walked over and sighed. "Yes. Sadly, she's only remembering things she wants to remember. The things she doesn't want to remember will come back, most likely, but it might take some time." He said. I sighed and he walked away. I stood up and wiped my tears away. "I'm going home." I mumbled. "What? No. You can't just give up." Cara said. I shook my head. "No. I shouldn't have even come. I'm the reason she's in here, so. I don't even know why I thought she would even want to see me. I'm going home." I spit and ran out before any of them could protest any farther.
*Cara's POV*
I took a deep breath and walked into her room. "Hey." I said, quietly. She gave me a sad smile and I narrowed my eyes. "Hey Cara." She said. "What's wrong?" I asked, sincerely. "I wanted to die. I really did." She said. I bit my lip. "You remember how you got in here?" I asked. She sighed before nodding. "I remember everything. But, acting like I don't remember Emma or any of that is so much easier than pretending I'm okay when I really just want to kill myself." She said. "Regina. Yeah, I get that that might be easier. But it's killing Emma. She's leaving. And, she'll be home alone which means she could fall back into her old habits. I know you're hurting, but she is too. She messed up and she knows that. Don't you think she's suffered enough?" I said in a gentle tone. She looked up at me and sighed. "I just.. I don't want to be put second to her career." She said. "You need to talk to her." I said. She nodded and I left the room. Belle went in and I grabbed my phone. Mary Margret gave me a curious look. "Hey. You reached Emma. Leave me a message." Her voicemail rang out. I sighed and put my phone back in my pocket, then felt it vibrate. I sighed and pulled it back out. It's a text from Emma.
I'm doing something for me. I don't have a choice. Just leave me alone. Don't worry about me. I'm on a plane. So, bye?
"Dammit Emma." I grumbled and shoved my phone in my pocket. Mary Margret and Ruby looked at me. "I have to go. Emma's about to make a really big mistake." I said. They looked at each other, worriedly and nodded. I called a cab and waited. It finally came and I had the driver take me to the airport. I ran in and to the desk, but she told me that all their flights to California were booked solid. I sighed and went back outside. I looked around, then I saw a guy step out of a small plane. I smiled and ran over. "Hey!" I shouted. He looked at me and smiled. "How can I help you?" He asked. "Well, I need a ride... But all the planes to California are booked solid." I said. He smiled. "Hop in." He said. I smiled and ran around to the other door of the plane. I stepped up and into the cabin, then pulled the door shut. We buckled in and he handed me a headset. "So you can hear me after we take off." He said. I nodded and put it on. "Where are we headed?" He asked. "LA." I said. He nodded, then turned the engine on.
