Love Not Lust

*Regina's POV**Time Lapse*
Today's Monday. I haven't talked to mom yet, but I'll probably deal with it today. Today's been crazy so far. It's almost 2 pm. But, Emma and I made out. Like, a hardcore make out session. I have no idea how it happened, but before I knew it, I was straddling her on the couch and her hands were in my hair. We spent all night Friday and some of Saturday morning getting to know each other. Now, we both know every little thing about each other. She's an orphan and never found her parents. But she did find her younger brother Henry. He's 14. He's in foster care because he didn't find Emma until he was 12. He doesn't want to live with Emma, but he wants to see her. When Emma and I made out, we both pulled away. But it was after quite awhile. And now, I'm sitting in their backyard by the pool. I'm in a bikini, but I'm wearing a long tank top over it and my hairs in a fishtail braid. I'm staring out at the scenery. I don't know where Emma is. But, we're probably going to avoid each other now. I looked down at my phone and unlocked it. I dialed my moms number and took a deep breath. "Regina Mills. Where the hell are you?!" "Mom.. I-I... I'm in LA." "I hope you have a place to live up there." "W-what?" "You might as well not come back. I told you that you could not go to California. But what did you do? You went. So, don't come back." "Y-you don't mean that." "Oh, Regina. But I do." "Mommy, please don't-" and she hung up on me. I felt my tears falling so I stared at the sky. "Regina?" I heard Cara say. "Y-yeah?" I stumbled out. "Is everything okay?" She asked and came and sat down beside me. "Uh.. No." I said and tried to wipe my tears away. "What happened?" She asked. I sighed. "My uh.. My mom just kicked me out because I came without her permission. She said that she hoped I had a place here to live because I might as well not come back and now I have no idea what to do." I sobbed. "Oh Regina. I'm so sorry." She said. I shook my head. "It's my own fault. She told me it was too far. But, I came anyways because I figured it'd be fine. I just.. I had to meet Emma. She's my idol." I said, quietly. "Is there more to it though?" She asked. "W-what?" I stammered. "Is there more to it than Emma being your idol? I saw you guys making out.." She said. I felt the blush grow on my cheeks as I looked away. "I.. I'm in love with her. And it's stupid because she's her and I'm me. And there's no way in hell she'd ever like a pathetic loser like me." I mumbled. "Regina.. You're not a pathetic loser. And besides. Didn't she kiss you?" She said. I sighed. "Yeah." I mumbled. "Exactly. So, don't think like that." She said. I sighed. "But still. What am I going to do? She kicked me out." I said. "Maybe you can stay with us for another week. And try to figure it out?" She said. I shook my head. "I don't want to impose." I said. She smiled. "It's not imposing if you're invited." She said. I looked away. "Really?" I said. She smiled again. "Yeah." She said. I nodded. "Okay." I said. She smiled. Then, we heard singing. "I don't wanna miss one smile. I don't wanna miss one kiss. Well, I just wanna be with you. Right here with you, just like this." I smiled at the faint voice. "Emma likes Aerosmith?" I asked. Cara smiled. "I guess." She said. I nodded. After a few minutes, my phone vibrated. "Emma posted a new video." I said. Cara smiled. I opened the video and smiled at Emma, holding her guitar. "Hey guys. So, this is a cover of I Don't Wanna Miss a Thing by Aerosmith. I uh.. I kissed this girl and I can't get her out of my mind. So, this is for her." Emma said and I felt my smile grow. "She's talking about you." Cara said. I smiled and Emma started playing.
