I took a deep breath and waited. "Alright. You're all good to go." The photographer said. I nodded. I just finished a photo shoot for Seventeen Magazine. It's been a week since Regina and I had sex. As far as I know, she's still with Cara. Today's October 11th. My birthday. I'm wearing a nude dress and heels. I left the studio and got in my car. I quickly drove home. It's almost 7 pm. I parked in the driveway and furrowed my eyebrows, seeing Karlie's car. I got out and saw her standing on the porch. "Hey! Happy birthday!" She said and hugged me. I smiled. "Thanks." I said. She nodded. "Come on. Go change. We're going out." She said. I furrowed my eyebrows. "Let's go clubbing." She said. I nodded. I went inside and went to change clothes. I put on a pair of black high waisted shorts and a sequined tank top. I put on a pair of Vans and put my hair in a high ponytail, then did my makeup. I smiled and went back to Karlie. She smiled and we got in her car.
I smiled as we danced with two other girls. "We're so drunk!" I said and laughed. "Yeah!" Karlie screamed. Then, a beautiful girl walked past me. We've been here for a few hours, but she's gorgeous. Even prettier than Regina. I smiled and walked over to the brunette. "Hey!" I shouted, to be heard over the music. She turned around and smiled. "I was wondering when you'd notice me, birthday girl." She said and locked her arms around my neck. "You're hot." I said. She smiled and leaned closer. "You are too." She said. I smiled and she moved away, then tugged on my hand. I followed her and we left the club. We got a cab and I sent it to my house. We went inside and our lips crashed together. We made it to my room, then clothes started flying. I smiled as we flopped onto my bed.
I woke up the next morning in an empty bed. I looked around, noticing the brunette from last night was gone, as was her clothes. I sighed before pulling on an oversized sweatshirt and going downstairs. Damn my head hurts. I went to the kitchen and took excedrin, then I went to the living room. I saw Regina in yoga pants and a t-shirt, nursing a cup of coffee in her hands. Then, I noticed the large hickey on her neck. I gritted my teeth and sighed. That should be from me. "Long night last night?" She breathed out. "Yep." I sighed before going back upstairs. I sat down on my bed, then my phone started ringing. I looked over at it and grabbed it, then answered. "Hey Emma! This is Marie Scott. I'm a reporter for Teen Vogue. And I'd like to do an article about you. Your open homosexuality and your past. We'd really like to talk about your self harm and depression and how you made it through that tough time in your life." "I'd love to!" "Awesome! How about we meet at the coffee shop on Rodeo at 11?" "Great! I'll see you there!" I hung up and smiled. I quickly changed and checked the time, seeing it to be 10:45. I left my room and rushed past Regina and to my car, trying to ignore my hangover. I quickly drove to the coffee shop and parked. I went in and looked around. "Over here Emma." A brunette said. I smiled and walked over. "I'm Marie." She said. I smiled and sat down. "Alright. You ready?" She asked. "Yep." I said. She smiled and set up her recorder. "So, Emma. You're an orphan. Right?" She asked. I nodded. "Right. My parents gave birth to me and abandoned me, then did the same with my younger brother. They died before I got to meet them. I never had a real family. That is, up until my last girlfriend Regina. She was family." I said. She nodded. "How did that effect you?" She asked. "Well, I grew up depressed and I would self harm from being bullied. I tried taking my own life several times. I went to therapy and got on antidepressants and I got mostly better. When my career started up, i got happier. And then.. I got in a really abusive relationship. It brought back my depression and self harm. I'm still depressed, but I'm working on it." I said. She nodded and wrote some stuff down. "Earlier, you mentioned a Regina?" she said. I nodded. "Regina is the love of my life. We've been broken up for quite awhile though." I said. "She is the love of your life?" She asked. "She is." I said. She nodded. "How has being a lesbian changed your career? Or has it?" She asked. "It hasn't really changed my career. People know I'm a lesbian. I don't try to hide it. I have a lot of fans who have come out to me before they even came out to their families. And that's really touching because they trust me. They love me. And they're why I do what I do. I love all of my fans. And they mean the world to me." I said. She smiled and nodded. "Do you have any advice for teens who are struggling with their sexuality?" She asked. I nodded. "Talk to someone. If you can't talk to someone in your family, maybe talk to a favorite teacher. Or a friend. Or even me. Talk to someone about it." I said. She smiled.
"Awesome. I think that's all we need." She said after almost an hour. I nodded and smiled. "It was great to meet you." She said. I smiled. "You too." I said. She smiled as I left. I got in my car and felt my phone buzz. I checked the notification and sighed. 'Emma Swan says Regina Mills is still the love of her life. What does Mills' girlfriend Cara Delevingne have to say about her 'best friends' statement? "Regina and I are together. And that's that. Emma knows that. We're happy." Uh oh Cara... Are you sure you're happy? If so, why was Swan seen leaving a night club with Mills? That's right!' My eyes went wide and I scrolled down to see a picture of me last night. And sure enough, Regina Mills was pulling me out of the club. I quickly turned my phone off and sped home. I ran inside and to my room. I laid down in bed, then heard the shouting. "How could you?!" "I didn't mean to! We were drunk!" "But you still left with her! What else did you do?!" "None of your business!" "It is my business! You're my girlfriend!" "We had sex!" "You fucked her?!" "Yes!" And then I heard Regina scream lightly. I sat up in bed as the door was flung open. She ran in and closed, then locked the door behind her. She ran over to me and jumped in my bed, quickly clinging to me. "Regina.. What happened?" I asked, quietly. She looked up at me and I saw her cheek. There's a small cut on it and it's turning purple. "Shit Regina. Come on. Come on. Let's get you cleaned up." I said. She nodded and I got out of bed. She followed me to the en-suite bathroom and I had her sit on the side of the bathtub. I grabbed a washcloth and ran it under some warm water, then gently cleaned her eye. She winced a little and I apologized. After cleaning her up, I released a sigh. I crouched in front of her and grabbed her hands. "C-Cara h-hit m-me." She stuttered through tears. "Okay. Why don't you go lay down in my bed. I'll be back in a little while. Okay?" I said. She nodded and I wiped away her tears. She went back into my room and laid down. I smiled before unlocking the door and leaving, closing it behind me. I went downstairs to see Cara in the floor with her knees pulled to her chest, in the corner of the living room. "Cara?" I asked. "I didn't mean to hit her! I swear I didn't!" She sobbed. "Okay.." I said. She sighed. "I'm sorry. I shouldn't have ever taken her from you." She sobbed. "It's okay." I said. "Make her happy.." She said. "Cara... We-" "no! Make her happy. I only want to be her friend. And I really hope I didn't fuck things up between all of us." She said. I nodded. "Go to her. Go fix what I ruined." She said. I sighed and left. I went back to my room and Regina was tucked under the covers. She looked at me and I smiled a little. I got in bed and she immediately snuggled close to me. I wrapped my arms around her and she sighed. "I missed your warmth.." She mumbled. "Yeah?" I asked. "Yeah... Cara's nothing compared to you." She mumbled. I sighed. "I just missed you. Period." I mumbled into her hair. "Mmhmm." She hummed. I smiled a little. After a few minutes, her breathing evened out and I could tell she was asleep. I ran my fingers through her hair and sighed. "I love you, Gina." I said, quietly.
After a few hours, Regina woke up. "Thanks for being here for me." She mumbled. "I'll always be here for you Regina. I lo- I care for you a lot." I said, catching myself. "I love you too." She said and smiled. I bit my lip and looked away. "I want you back, Emma."
