Chapter Eighteen- Just....Shit...

Khalif was walking me out the hospital.
As soon as we escaped the cool breeze of the building, we were surrounded by paparazzi.

"Myra! You where pregnant?"
"Why did you tell us about the baby?"
"How many times where you shot?"
"What did you have to do with the Cameron case?"
"Free Gucci!"

We got in the car.

Tears ran down my face as I stared blankly ahead.

Khalif held my hand the whole way home.
I occasionally squeezed it when I thought about certain things.

Finally, our destination.

I got out and see Neli running to me.
I picked her up and held her tight.
She hugged me back, her little arms around my neck.
She lifted her head.
"Jimmy told me that your baby went to heaven. Is it true?"
I nodded my head cause I couldn't speak.
She hugged me again.
" I love you.." she cried, not moving her head.

Khalif started to walk me inside.
Honey, Alicia and Jimmy were on the couch.
The girls hugged me, then backed up.
"It's gon be ok munchkin," Jimmy hugged me.
I hugged him back with one arm cause I haven't put Neli down.

When Slim backed up, Honey stood there, an apologizing look on her face.

"Babycakes..I wanna stay and you know I do..but I'm moving to North Dakota today..my parents want me back up there.."

"It's ok..we can still call each other babe.." I waived her off with a slight smile.

"Are you good with that? Really cause I can stay?"
I nodded.
"Ok.." she gave me a big hug and rocked me back and forth.
"Be strong baby cakes." She grabbed my shoulders.
"I will babe..call me when you land.."
She slowly backed up and silently waived goodbye to everyone.

That was the end of Honey..

I turned around to face everyone.
"It's just us now.."

I put Neli down.

Everything is starting to set in..
Uncontrollable sobs escaped my mouth as I collapsed.
Swae and Jimmy took me to the couch.
Alicia came over and hugged me.
She was crying too.
The door swung open.
Momma Bernadette rushing in.

She looked around until she spotted me and come over.
"It's gonna be alright," she sat next to me.

It took a while but I pulled myself together.

Janelle was sitting, staring at me.
Then it hit me..

"Neli, where's your mom?"
"She said she was going to New Pork cause I wasn't her responsibility.."
Well damn..
"It's New York and do you know what that means?"
She shook her head no.
"It means you're gonna live with me from now on. Are you ok with that?" I asked her.

"Yes. I love my sissy."
"I love you too, Neli Poo."
She smiled.

Momma was cooking lunch for us.
She'd be back in Atlanta next week but she was here for me, for now.

"Alicia, take me back to your house.. I need a ride on my motorcycle.." I looked over to her.

"Are you sure? You know you shouldn't drive when you're upset.."
"But I always do. It helps.."
She nodded.

Jimmy, Swae and Neli came with us.
I had three and I wanted them all back home.

Swae rode the black one back home.
Jimmy took the red one.

Neli took a ride with me. Before we did anything, I bought a motorcycle helmet that fit her.

"You ready, bug?" She nodded enthusiastically.
