2: We're Back

Soo-Jung

I woke up around 7 am this morning. I have no idea why. Usually I would hate going back to SCHOOL because I prefer it to be Seven Crappy Hours Of Our Lives. But no, this is a new start and I am totally weirded out by it.

I am currently eating breakfast with eomma, appa and Jessica unnie. She has work so I'm used to her getting up early. "Soo-jung, sweetie", said eomma. I looked at her and she replied, "Do you remember Victoria?"

Victoria? Of course I remember her she's my best friend. Well I mean 'girl' best friend. I can't always be with Kai and the boys, you know. Anyway, Tori, my nickname for her by the way, and I have known each other since the 3rd grade. She's a really amazing person. But sadly, when she got a job in America, she needed to move and I never saw her again for like...2...3 years.

Back to my mom's question, I nodded in response then said, "What about her?". She smiled at me and said, "Well good then because she will be at your school this year. Her mother called me yesterday to tell you but I remembered you were at practice".

Great. Somehow, coming back became...fun all of a sudden.

Jong In

I arrived at her house earlier than expected. Wow. The things I do for HER. I walked up to her front door and knocked. She opened the door and said, "Hey Kai! Let's go. Thanks for being early, bro".

I smiled and messed her hair. "Yeah yeah. Just get your butt in the car", I said.

She pouted. "Yah! Knock it off!".

"Make me, K". I leaned closer and whispered, "I dare you".

She gulped and said, "O-okay...m-mind moving a bit. E-ever heard of personal space, dude". I just rolled my eyes and focused on the road. After about 35 minutes, we finally made to school.

When we got to school, me and K walked to the front door of our classroom. She stopped for a moment and took a deep breath. "Hey, you'll be fine. I got your back, alright?", I said and she nodded. I can always tell when she's nervous. She may look all tough and serious but there are these little things that just feel nerve wrecking to her.

"Mornin' Krystal!", I heard someone say as we entered the room. It was Luhan.

"Morning Lulu. Is there any vacant seat?", she asked him. Why didn't you ask me?

Luhan pointed the seat next to the window. It looks like the guys know K as much as I do. But of course, I no more and I'm planning on keeping it that way.

Soo-Jung

Luhan helped me with my seat. I'm glad I have a friend like him. Out of all the guys he is one of the nicest...so no wonder he is like that.

I took out my notebook and started drawing doodles. I'm no artist so I presume this is...abstract? That's still art, isn't it? Anyway, as I was drawing, I heard a voice calling my name.

"Soo-jung!!!", I heard. I turned my head and saw Tori. And might I add, she looks gorgeous. I almost didn't recognize her. She looked like a model and I am really envious of how she looks right now.

I said to her, "Tori! Hey I missed you. You look awesome by the way". She giggled at my words like a little girl. "Oh Soo-jung. You haven't changed a bit. How are you and Kai? He hasn't done anything bad to you, has he?", she said as she narrowed her eyes at Kai who just looked confused.

Tori has always been looking after me. She was the first to act mature among the two of us. This explains why she starts acting like eomma. "Nice to see you too, Tori. And no, I did not do anything to K while you were gone", Kai said.

Tori eyed him to see if he was telling the truth. Then she looked back at me and I just nodded. "Fine. Anyway, where's Channie? I missed the Yoda boy", she said which made me and Kai laugh.

And as if on cue, Chan and the rest of the guys came in. Tori immediately saw Chan and she then approached him. Aigoo...Tori is crushing on Chan again.

Then the bell rang which meant classes were about to start. The teacher came in and our lesson began.

Since it was the first day, we could all chill for a moment. The next period teacher was busy so we had free time. The guys, Tori and I grouped ourselves at the back of the room and we started to talk about random stuff.

Victoria

I looked around the circle that we made. Me and Soo-jung are the only girls here. Well technically, I'm the only girl since Soo-jung is boyish but whatever. The guys started sharing things that happened to them over the summer.

Baek then shared his experience. "I went with Yeol to Lotte World. His treat by the way", he said proudly.

"How did you even manage to pay for that?", I asked Channie. He shrugged but then responded, "I don't know how exactly but I've been saving money for a new guitar that I have been thinking of buying as a gift for myself but after I lost a bet with Baek...I had no choice".

ChanBaek sailing. But I'm jealous of Baekhyun right now.

"Ugh...bros I just stayed home and trained for football. Nothing extraordinary there", said Tao.

"No the extraordinary thing was you training with your shirt off. You don't have abs Tao, give it a rest", Kyungsoo stated and we all laughed while Tao just pouted in shame.

I then noticed Soo-jung deep in thought. I wonder why. I then poked her then asked, "Speaking of gifts, what do you want for your birthday Soo-jung?".

For some reason the guys were interested with what she had to say...especially Kai. She looked at me then thought for a while. "Anything is fine. I'm not picky with gifts", she said.

We then proceeded with our group talk or should I say squad talk. It was going well until our teacher, Ms. Song, came in. She just went on and on about what she did last summer and she said it inspired her to make the theme of the project she planned to give us. How early.

"I will be choosing your partners. Arasseo?", she asked and we all nodded. Please pair me with Channie, please.

"Hmm...let's see here. Sehun and Mina. Chorong and Kris. Luhan and Kyungsoo...", she started. Until only 4 names were left. Including me and Channie.

Jong In

Project on the first day? Geez. I can't wait. "Hope I don't get stuck with a lame partner. I don't wanna do all the work again", I told my seatmate, Chen. He chuckled and said, "Dude...you barely do any work on projects. Ask Baek, he is still frustrated with the thought of you becoming his partner...again. But good thing he is paired with Hyuna".

Only 4 people were not yet paired. And I'm here praying I don't get a bad partner. Just please.

"...Chanyeol and Victoria, and lastly, Jong In and Krystal".

Me and K both looked at each other in shocked. Maybe because one, we both didn't expect and two, because we both knew we aren't going to get anything done. I mean c'mon, I know her.

The guys started teasing me from behind as K looked away. Atleast I get a partner I could work with. More time to hang out and work on this thing. And I'm glad it was my best friend.
