HEEEYYYY!
It's my sister's birthday! I get cake! I'm just so excited! ;P
My cat keeps trying to eat the balloons, and I keep telling him, "No, Pukie, latex is NOT edible!" and "Those are strings, not spaghetti!". Stupid cat. He attacked his shadow this morning. I think he has ADD too 'cause he can be so determined to jump from my desk to my bed one moment, then the next he is chasing a fly... But I love him anyway!
NO SCHOOL TOMARROW! YAY! :D
I'm just so happy!
Yeah...
Ugh... I gotta go...

"Call him," she said, jerking her head in the direction of the phone.
I took a deep breath before answering.
"Okay."
I picked up my iPhone from beside me. I went into my contacts and hit SwagmastaLouxx.
It rang once...
Voicemail.
I burst out crying. Abi rushed over to me. "Shhh. Shhh. Don't cry. He isn't worth your tears! He's just a big-headed jerk!" she said. I calmed myself down and looked up at her.
"I hate him!" I cried harshly.
She just hushed me. "I know." I cried a little more before I was done; I still had tears, but I wouldn't let them go. "How about you get to bed? You can start your job in a couple of days when this is all done," she suggested.
I shook my head. "I have to work," I protested.
"No, you're staying here. Give this a few days to calm down."
I sighed in defeat. "Okay."
She helped me to bed. I clutched my phone in my hand. I placed it on the bedside table and climbed into bed. Abi said goodnight and left, closing the door. I put in my headphones and went to the artists menu on my phone. I need a country song right now. I clicked on Carrie Underwood then shuffle. The first song that came up was 'Blown Away'. I listened to the lyrics thinking about what I didn't tell the boys about my past: the abuse.
This song gave a perfect explanation of my father on those days where my mother worked over night. Catlin would go to bed and I would be alone with him after he had been drinking. A storm would come it seemed.
"Dry lightning cracks across the skies.
Those storm clouds gather in her eyes.
Her daddy was a mean old mister,
Mama was an angel in the ground.
The weather man called for a twister.
She prayed blow it down.
"There's not enough rain in Oklahoma,
To wash the sins out of that house.
There's not enough wind in Oklahoma,
To rip the nails out of the past.
"Shatter every window,'til it's all blown away,
Every brick, every board, every slamming door, blown away,
'Til there's nothing left standing, nothing left of yesterday.
Every tear-soaked whiskey memory, blown away,
Blown away.
"She heard those sirens screaming out.
Her daddy laid there passed out on the couch.
She locked herself in the cellar,
Listened to the screaming of the wind.
Some people call it taking shelter,
She called it sweet revenge
"Shatter every window 'til it's all blown away,
Every brick, every board, every slamming door blown away,
'Til there's nothing left standing, nothing left of yesterday.
Every tear-soaked whiskey memory blown away,
Blown away.
"There's not enough rain in Oklahoma,
To wash the sins out of that house.
There's not enough wind in Oklahoma,
To rip the nails out of the past.
"Shatter every window 'til it's all blown away,
Every brick, every board, every slamming door blown away,
'Til there's nothing left standing, nothing left of yesterday.
Every tear-soaked whiskey memory blown away,
"Blown away, blown away, blown away, blown away, blown away"
I soon drifted to sleep to her beautiful voice.

I woke up the next morning to a phone. My phone.
I checked the called ID. Louis.
I debated whether or not to answer it, then decided on revenge and hit end.
Abigail popped her head in. "You alright, Ari?"
I nodded and sighed. "That jerk who's name I shall not mention called."
"And what did you do?" she asked confused.
"Sent him to voicemail," I replied.
"Okay," she smiled. "Listen, I'm heading to the café for work. I'll be home around 4:00 this afternoon. Help your self to anything you need." I nodded. "If he calls the shop what do you want me to do?"
I thought about it. "I don't know," I said as my voice wavered.
She looked at me sympathetically. "I'll figure it out," she said heading out.
"Bye," I called.
"Bye!"
The door shut and I exploded with tears. Then a noise came from the phone.
I didn't hit end; I hit send.
"Ariel? Is that you crying?"
Louis.
Snap!
